England have a really fine crop of young players though as will definitely be one of the teams to stop at Euro 2024. I know that this is actually true but I feel like I am listening the same story for the tenth time 🤣 haha aye true, but no I am sure they will be one of the teams to beat there. France will be strong again, Spain have some fantastic young players coming through (if they stop trying to walk the ball into the goal), Italy will come again and Germany have 18 months to get their act back together, but I've no doubt England will be contenders at that tournament.

It's one of the only times I can remember when England played better than the opposition and lost - certainly in a big game. At least we came out and played ... unlike the Euros where we got exactly what we deserved. Nothing. Probably keeps Southgate in the job until the Euros do you think? He's probably done enough, I've seen a lot of folk criticising his tactics and suggesting Thomas Tuchel as a replacement. But Tuchel has awful man management, and is just a downright weird and unlikeable individual. He might be tactically superior but the dressing room culture and togetherness under Southgate counts for a lot as to why England have done relatively well under him. Can't underestimate that aspect of management. Yep - agreed. I was pretty much done with Southgate after the Croatia and Italy losses but he showed a lot more willingness to let them play this year. The players seem to like him and nowadays, with all the egos, that's gold dust. Tuchel would be a terrible choice. Poch maybe .. but I don't think we lose anything by staying with Southgate.

I didn't watch the match until end on Friday night, but I must say it was a pretty nasty match from both sides. After all, Argentina winning was a right thing.
We have so many people from Morocco with 2nd and 3rd generation living here and they all go nuts every time they won. The thing is, they don't know how to celebrate without violence.

This how serious football was back in 60s when England won it
"1968 EURO semi-final was decided on a coin toss. The semi-final encounter of EURO 1968 between hosts Italy and the Soviet Union was decided on a coin toss. Since the concept of a penalty shootout had not been invented at that time, the match which ended 0-0 after ninety minutes had to be decided using a toss."

Certainly France 98' we were better than the Argentinians. Arguably, Maradonna aside we were better than them in 86'.

And it highlights what’s really missing from this World Cup: Atmosphere

And if a player got injured you were fucked, because... no substitutions. It might have been around this time that it was introduced, but the fact that for the longest time it just didn't exist... it's just inexcusable.

I would take one gold over all the silver and bronze medals that Holland have, but Spain are BY FAR the most underachieving of the great football powers*. Edit: *Forgot England somehow!

The way Spain has been without taking in consideration of the golden years of 2008-2012 is what I feel like English people think about their team. A team that should do better but somehow fucks it up when they shouldn't. Or like 2002 were robbed of at least an semifinal.

So, who do you choose today LM 10 or LM 10? I have both of them in my fantasy team. However, my captain will be Ivan Perisic.

Argentina-Croatia 2:1
But I wouldn’t be surprised if somehow Croatia pulls it off. I just think France-Argentina would be the better finale
