Given that I got every quarter final prediction wrong so far, I have an announcement to make: Congratulations England for having beaten France and made it to the semi finals! 🏴🏴🏴 I won't be so bold to say whoever wins tonight wins the World Cup but whoever does is definitely favourites.

No team could score against Morocco so far in the World Cup and they're already in the semi-final. The only time they conceded, it was an own goal. That's pretty bonkers.

Greece 2004 vibes I was just reading through the top of the page and thought about Greece at the 2004 Euros. Was living in Germany as a young American and was randomly eating at a Greek restaurant during one of their opening matches. We had such an amazing time watching that first match and were invited/welcomed to come for the rest of the matches (they said we were good luck), which we did. When they ended up shocking the world, we got to party with them and my god, what a party it was! Fantastic times!

Agonizing miss on the penalty after they got it right… FIFA should unretire Pierluigi Collina for games like this

Sometimes you lose games even when you play better. The referee was embarrassing, pathetic, absolute wanker. Done us big time.

Croatia-Morocco would be preferred honestly.

Great game from England, France just clinical. But they don’t deserve to go back to back, hope Messi puts a stop to that

It is like last dance.
That is how Jordan became GOAT, when he was over 35.
That is what Federer did than Nadal and now it is time to see if Djokovic will.
They were all great and there was debate if they were GOAT before, but what they did late in their career made them ultimate GOAT.
They are all 10/10 players and they are all in top 5 of all time, but if we are talking about ultimate GOAT, you can always use Xavi/Iniesta argument againt Messi.

France the better team in the 1st half, Griezmann running the show. England by far the better team in the 2nd. If there is one boy you’d want to be taking that pen it would be Kane. Just shows the pressure can get to even the best players.
England have a really fine crop of young players though as will definitely be one of the teams to stop at Euro 2024.

It's one of the only times I can remember when England played better than the opposition and lost - certainly in a big game. At least we came out and played ... unlike the Euros where we got exactly what we deserved. Nothing.

At least we came out and played ... unlike the Euros where we got exactly what we deserved. Nothing. Probably keeps Southgate in the job until the Euros do you think? He's probably done enough, I've seen a lot of folk criticising his tactics and suggesting Thomas Tuchel as a replacement. But Tuchel has awful man management, and is just a downright weird and unlikeable individual. He might be tactically superior but the dressing room culture and togetherness under Southgate counts for a lot as to why England have done relatively well under him. Can't underestimate that aspect of management.
