'Noel's finally landed on the distant shores of heaven'. fucking hell that's some mega reaching he's got going on in his explanation of High Horse and the outro. Talk about trying to make a song fit your narrative. OK, there's some merit in some things he says but fucking hell the guy is prescriptive. Like there's no room for multiple possibilities only this one very specific story he has come up with based on who he thinks Noel is. I find that with most fan theories though, some are entertaining mind.

I haven't watched it so I can't comment on it.

You know it's bad when he quite literally admits "I don't know what the song means" about To Be Where There's Life.

^^ Wasnt it that he gloated and dangled it over people's heads, then when the DBBT era Stop the Clocks demo was leaked he realised his recording had dipped in value so low , probably a few hundred quid, overnight he graciously decided to leak his own live version.. or something like that. Yup. It was a magical night, May 2008. I was up late ET for it. Record Machine had this forum hopping. Frank had everyone pissed off - a legacy he continues to have during to this day. He dangled it infront of us forever. And for that reason he's a dick. But that was one of the best nights on this forum. webm@ster

James, if you’re reading, please keep the Oasis content coming. Usually your videos are excellent but you did miss the mark with this one. The effort is always commendable mind.

Nice! Fun to watch! I've just finished part 1 and I'm intrigued (especially about the album itself, maybe the B-sides, but not so much about the Beatles or the whole of their carreer). It makes sense to write about what he's going through, but I don't know if his specific interpretation is needed to see that. Gives me new food for thought though. It does explain why the 2nd album had to follow up the debut so quickly and why the material written after 'The End' is so much less spontaneous and not flowing as well.

Whilst I'm not convinced about all of the details, the broad strokes of Part 2 make perfect sense, and I'll never look at DOYS the same way again.
