A "regular" brand-new ES-355 goes for between 5K€ and 6K€ nowadays. The BB King Lucille signature model, which is easier to build than a regular 355 because of the rear access plate, is 7K€ (roughly 6K GBP). A dealer told me last week that the NG signature would probably be "between 8K and 10K euro", but they haven't got any confirmation on pricing or availability yet. As much as I'd love to own it, I could never justify spending that sum on a guitar, especially since I already have a wonderful 355 which I've modified to be an exact copy of Noel's. And even that one was more than what I could afford... my bank account hasn't recovered yet  |

By the way, Noel is playing a pre-production version of his signature 355 during the recent shows. It's not the original from 1960.

I had success securing the NG J-150 by going to guitar center the day it was released. It went live at 9pm and the guy put my order in within seconds of it being avivable on his system. Apparently I got one of four allotted to GC Nationwide. That being said I got extremely lucky.
The new 355 is unofficially already on sale and more or less sold out. Sweetwater has already taken orders on it as has guitar center. Start calling gibson dealers now and put a deposit down or try talking to someone before hand who can put your order in within seconds of it going live.
Just got confirmation today that the 355 will be $9999 plus tax and launch August 30.

That Supernova was such a weird release. He never played it and it wasn’t really like anything he played either. Epiphone did a proper Union Jack Sheraton a few years back though. |

When they dropping the “budget” version? Epiphone made some sweet Supernova guitars in the mid 90s for like $300-500 bucks. Now those same guitars go for $3,000 on eBay.

It’s an Epiphone ES-355 Limited Edition.
They don’t make them anymore and seem pretty hard to find on the net. They don’t come with the scratch plate, I had that put on.

The budget of this kind of thing is always gonna be an Epiphone. Hell, even just a regular Gibson is budget compared to this. Late 90s Supernovas are usually available on Reverb. They seem to have jumped up in price the last couple of years though. I bought Man City blue one for $800 in 2019, and now they're all hanging in the $1100-1800 price. |
