I mean every time Noel mentions it he talks abou how underrated it is and how much he likes the song. Why never ever play it, especially since it’s perfect for an acoustic performance? Personally I think he is self conscious because he thinks nobody else liked it. I have a soft spot for the song. What do y’all think?

I think he said nobody else seems to get it so I guess he just assumes that nobody would want to listen to it.

Think he realised his younger brother had released a far better acoustic love song that ticked all the boxes for promoting that album and adding a softer pause in the set. Don't think he allowed many moments for the rest of the band to upstage him though.

It's a corny throwaway track, doesn't have the charm of Songbird. Too much pub rocker thinking he's a romantic vibe.
That said, it's not one of the worst crimes from that album, which says a fucking lot.

I think more about why I Hope, I Think, I Know was never played live, and why we don't have a live album with Listen Up and Rockin Chair.

Doesn't make it any less shit tho Could've at least given it the SMC treatment and hide it at the end of the other disc! I remember an interview early on in the album cycle and someone mentioned to Noel that it was his favourite song on the album and I blame them for him choosing it as a single. We could have got another b-side instead, maybe The Roller or something.

She Is Love is one of Oasis's worst songs and certainly one of Noel's worst songs he's ever written.

Personally I think Force of Nature is super cringeworthy maybe one of the lamest songs oasis ever released.

I like the song personally and don't understand the hate. I think probably too twee to have worked well at an Oasis gig but it's a decent album inclusion. Not single material but a nice change of pace on an LP. Far from Noel's worst. 7/10

I absolutely detest this song and it is without doubt my least favourite Oasis album track!
No I’m not forgetting PYMWYMI, Ain’t Got Nothing, Nature of Reality etc but there’s literally nothing I like about She is Love, the lyrics are shit, the melody sounds like the Kooks, Noel’s voice irritates me and the production is awful.
The only one which can give it a run for it’s money in the shitness stakes is (Probably) All in the Mind, which is the song before it on the album!! What a combo!

Should have swapped it for Idler’s Dream on the album.

Should have swapped it for Idler’s Dream on the album. I’d have swapped it for Shout it Out Loud, though Idlers Dream is still brilliant. That said, I don’t actually mind SIL. I don’t think it’s great or even that good but I don’t mind it existing on the album. Definitely shouldn’t have been a single though.

Id argue there were other better songs that ticked all its boxes.
As someone said, Songbird is the better acoustic/love single on the album; perhaps the one time Liam one-upped Noel songwriting-wise. Plus they already had other superior songs of that nature like Talk Tonight.
Also, while it was a double A-side, from what I recall Little By Little got almost all the airplay. I don’t know if I ever heard SiL on top 40 radio. Maybe that proved to Noel that fans didn’t want to hear it.
Like a few songs on HC it’s never been universally adored by fans, and isn’t as good as it thinks it is.

Don't think he allowed many moments for the rest of the band to upstage him though. Noel has been on record since late 2000 praising “Songbird”. It was even Noel who radically changed the way we know it today. Noel said Liam wanted it how the demo was which I think is cool and worth having but the HC version is perfect.

It's a corny attempt of Noel to write his rendition of Song Bird. It did not work out.
Look... no one wants to hear She Is Love, just like no one wants to hear Probably All In the Mind.

The only thing I like about SIL is the organ that plays throughout the song which gives a gospel element to it.
