Heard a couple of Tom's new tracks for his next album.
Somethings About To Change is a short tune (2 mins or so) and there was a preview of this one on his IG. Honestly a bit meh. If you've listened to the preview you've already heard the song
Sunshine is Tom's Surprised By The Joy but in a good way. Bits of Blur's Tender as well. I honestly liked this one. It was like hearing Liam in Alright Now. Surprising.
Thinking On Our Feet is a proper stomper. Fucking loved it. I hope it doesn't blow in the studio version with all this generic second voices he's putting in every song he's released. It could ruin the tune but it is a good one though.
There are excerpts online for a couple more, like Darkest Hour or Footdown. Couldn't find Deep Dive

That’s fucking garbage music that Kasabian single. Absolute dog shit As others have said, you can’t get rid of a founding member who’s also the frontman and continue business as usual. That’s like oasis kicking Liam out in 2009 with Noel, Gem and Andy continuing. No chance that would have worked and it’s the same result in this instance. On the other hand, Tom’s music is kicking ass (let it ride in particular is incredible) and his gigs look epic, I can easily see him becoming more successful as a solo artist. He won’t be as big as Liam but I’m way more interested in his solo music than Kasabian |

Liked Scriptvre as well, reminded me of Black Whistler, a b-side of theirs that I loved since I first heard it. I still gotta admit I just can't help but imagine this track with Tom on vocals and it could be something out of their first record but with modern production. I'll listen to the album when it comes and I'm sure there will be at least 3 or 4 tracks that I will love. But I'm sure as well that I will be missing the true Kasabian singer during the first listen.

I don't know, I can't escape the feeling that Sergio is egomaniac, he went from being third most important member to most important member in the band and it seems that is more important to him than to make the best music he can.
Yes, it is hard to talk about all that after what Tom did but Tom said that they are still his best mates and that he is so sad that they don't see each other anymore, or even write messages and that he hopes that will change.
It's hard to think that Sergio has such a high moral standards, even his wife forgave Tom and she is with him now but Sergio can't even text him.
So, it's hard to believe that all that happened just because of that thing with Tom and his wife. There must be some other things. It's not on me to say, I can only say that what i feel and it looks to me like Sergio's ego trip 🤣
