Probably the last 'great' single that became a classic track would be The Importance of Being Idle.
I really like the DOYS singles, however none of them have stood the test of time in the mainstream.
Looking further back, Stop Crying Your Heart out is still very much a prevalent song that's played a lot and loved by many. It even had a charity release in the UK just last year for 'Children In Need.' I don't think any other single from the last four albums has this level of love globally.
I remember Lyla, Little By Little and Songbird getting a lot of air time during my childhood, but it's been years since I've heard any of them on the radio or TV.

Yeah, the Importance of Being Idle is probably it alright.

Falling Down. No doubt.

Falling Down's a great song, so is The Shock of the Lightning.
But for being great and long term popular appeal, it has to be The Importance of Being Idle.

What's so funny? it's a perfect song. Nothing forced, there is soul, there is spirituality. Better than other post 2000 singles. As a "rock" song, however, I think the last big single was Go Let It Out.

It’s not bad compared to some of Liam’s other efforts but it didn’t make a dent in the public conscious at all. It’s just trying to fit in as many Beatles’ cliches as possible. The fact it was the first oasis single not to make the top 10 since Shakermaker tells you all you need to know really..

He's done much better in his solo career too (Bold and Greedy Soul smash it).

I like the DOYS singles, TSOTL was maybe the best rocker they released in the 00s, Falling Down was as out there as you'd get with Oasis and I'm Outta Time is in my opinion Liam's best song, but sadly none of them were hits I'd say TIOBI was the last one, great tune, chart topping, well received and memorable

Always thought Shock of the Lightning was their best lead single since D'You Know What I Mean. Go Let It Out creeps into dreaded Beatles fandom too much but Shock of the Lightning is a song only Oasis could do. Very punky and aggressive, there was nothing like it on the radio at the time it came out.

a mellotron (or a haircut) doesn't make you sound like the Beatles though

Including B-sides....:'GO LET IT OUT'. Definitely 'Importance...' or ' I´m Outta Time' are good songs but...considering a main song follow by b-sides...GO LET IT OUT was great. The first time a hear 'Let's All Make Believe' I felt the same as when I heard The Masterplan, or Acquiesce, or Underneath The Sky...the moment you say...oh boy, this is the band of my life. After that...never felt the same before with any Oasis song.

That song didn’t age well at all „If I'm to fall Would you be there to applaud Or would you hide behind them all? 'Cause if I am to go In my heart you'd grow And that's where you belong“ The lyrics are horrible. I’d go with the importance of being idle. Probably the best oasis single in the 2000s. Noel knew that too so he stole his own song and added a brass section and made it an even better song.

Then put one on for the next single he'd written. Which achieved all of 2 spaces higher. Guitar music was at the start of a decline then charts wise. Let's not create narratives that aren't there. I seen the UK Charts company do a similar dig at Beady Eye the other day about not having a number 1 album. They missed out to Adele and Black Sabbath ffs.

The Shock of the Lightning had no B-Sides and still charted at no 3 even though the whole world had it by the time it was released as a single. IOOT even had the benefit of two 7inch version. But beyond oasis fans nobody cared. But I suppose as usual the evil mastermind Noel conspired to get one over on Liam 🙄

Oasis could put out anything as a comeback single and it do well. Noel given up by the point and was saving everything for his solo album. The way I'm Outta Time and Falling Down charted was in no way down to the quality of the songs.

In terms of crossover success I'd say Stop Crying Your Heart Out.

I know people who aren't Oasis fans who like I'm Outta Time. The fact that it didn't make it into the top 10 doesn't mean it sucks for the same reason that there are people Oasis sucks for despite having had top-rated albums and songs. The reason I'm outta Time didn't make it to the top 10 is because most Oasis fans hated Liam at the time, and didn't care about the song just because it was written by him. They just wanted a Noel solo album ... Noel had tamed them well with his "logbook" ...

Not true at all really It's just that Oasis were on the decline as well as rock music in the charts and I'm Outta Time didn't have the hype of being a lead and comeback single that The Shock Of The Lightning had Only way you'd get a top 10 single at that point was with a proper hit with mass appeal, and that album had none (which doesn't mean the songs were bad, there are at least 5 or 6 very good songs on DOYS, just not hit kind of material, you could make the same argument for SOTSOG)
