I don't see any need for another Oasis best of album, they should do something else with the unreleased material they have. And I hope those are songs Noel wrote and Liam sang, not just Noel's demos.

That was a good interview. Interesting to hear they were about to release a bonus disc to an Oasis 2000s best of. He downplays the 2000s a little too much lately, he's written enough good tracks in that period.
What I don't like here is when he goes "whatever a guy in a bucket hat in fucking Hull thinks is not gonna mean anything" because Nile Rodgers likes Black Star Dancing. He always seems the need to defend himself for his "out there" music by looking down on the fans who bought him the rolls & the swimming pool. No need for that.

We are getting very good interviews from this album promotion cycle. And now I can only think about the scrapped demos album

I guess I’ll kick it off………….
Fucking In The Bushes Go Let It Out Who Feels Love? Gas Panic Sunday Morning Call Let’s All Make Believe The Hindu Times Stop Crying Your Heart Out Little By Little Songbird Turn Up The Sun Lyla The Importance of Being Idle Let There Be Love Lord Don’t Slow Me Down The Shock of The Lightning I’m Outta Time Falling Down
18 tracks. Just like how Noel did Stop The Clocks and Back The Way We Came. This is richly what I think Noel would pick. This project was most likely sunk because Liam wanted Ain’t Got Muffins on it.

Yeah, he put it as a hidden track in Time Flies and it is supposed to be on that album! No way is he putting it on a best of.
One Way Road might be a good replacement there.

Two other thoughts: Do we know anything about how the Falling Down remixes were made with the AA? He's talked a lot about his collab with them regarding the unreleased album but not that. I'd be interested in how experimental the Psychedelic Bubble is compared to the scrapped stuff. The Falling Down is "just" a normal remix work: someone sent the AA the isolated master tracks of Falling Down and they remixed and re-assembled them and recorded all those overdubs. Noel's contribution ended after he had asked the AA to remix the track. How it compares to the unreleased AA album? We don't know. I remember that AA claimed they had left intentionally some of the mixing decisions for Noel to be made because it was after all to be his solo debut. But Noel never came round finishing it - and what I've read from Noel's interviews, he seemed to had waited the AA to finish it.

Noel sang on 4 number 1 singles ? I can only think of Dont look back in anger and The importance of being idle ... Noel Gallagher. Great at writing songs. Shit at counting. X

Roll It Over should definitely be on any Oasis 2000's compilation as it's one of Oasis's best songs from that decade.

I like the idea of Noel putting out these unreleased songs as b-sides. I never understood how such a productive songwriter couldn't have two b-sides for a single or evern worse, only remixes anyway. Always annoys me how much he claims to have written versus has much he actually releases. I do wonder how much of it is utter bollocks, or at least massively exaggerated. The next album had better be a double and every single an EP! X

And they always feel great about what they’ve just written. I don’t find it annoying. I find it quite normal.

It’s a great interview but the Oasis discography and the list of things with Brian Garcia have wildly inaccurate prices! It’s actually ridiculous how cheap they think you can buy their catalogue. £100 for FTM and £50 or something for Can Y See it Now.
We wish!

I really wish they’d reissue FTM and STC on vinyl. I’m not overly worried about having first pressings but I would like to have them on vinyl.

I have the original vinyl of Familiar To Millions and I certainly didn't pay that much money for it.

Noel sang on 4 number 1 singles ? I can only think of Dont look back in anger and The importance of being idle ... Setting Sun and Wonderwall(The Masterplan?) It'd be clutching at straws if he was referring to a b-side from a single let alone one that didn't even make no.1. Still amazes me how many Oasis fans assume it did 😂
