Considering this is indeed from DOYS times, could this be Zak playing drums? I know Noel plays pretty much everything on his own on these kind of demos which he probably did here as well. But to me as a drummer myself these drums do not sound like Noel or p.e. Jeremy Stacey. This sounds like Zak imo. You can hear the song in the background on It's Never Too Late to be What U Might have Been (the NGHFB documentary) so it's probably a version recorded when he was doing his first record.

I’m trying to remember what the liner notes said. I don’t recall Sardy being mentioned which is interesting since he produced DOYS and HFB.

Right so,
International Magic exists in Gold and Silver and Sunshine in the background (DOYS Doc) Some of the backstage passes for the DoyS tour are labeled International Magic
The song wasn’t on Noel’s 2010 demo tape which became NGHFB but then neither were some old songs such as A Simple Game of Genius or Stop the Clocks etc. which were on the album or released around this period.
This one is intriguing. My gut feeling is this is a new recording made during the sessions for the debut album.
A real pity the booklet doesn’t have any more information beyond the fact that Strangeboy produced it.
I also get the impression it was always meant to be an instrumental. I don’t think he ever intended words for it. The noise of children at the end suggests it was possibly meant to segue into Record Machine but that’s just conjecture on my part.

Like some said, it must be a re-recorded version intended for the first solo album.

Maybe Noel recorded it at the post DOYS sessions when he recorded the 'Alt' versions of The Turning and Waiting For The Rapture? Images from those sessions seem to be included in the Gold and Silver and Sunshine documentary when this track is heard.
If Liam's not involved then that's probably enough for him to dig it out and claim it as his!

This has the same vibe as some of the stuff they were jamming in soundchecks on the DOYS tour.
Does anyone have them all to hand to see if there are any bits of this in those jams.

Could’ve been on DOYS instead of High Horse Lady or could’ve been split into two like the Interlude on WBTM.

There’s at least two tracks worse than High Horse Lady on DOYS. Even if it is one of the worst things Noel ever wrote .

There are some brilliant vocals from Liam on the album and then there are the muffins. God that song is definitely in the very bottom tier of recorded music.
