We all know that Noel can sit on old songs for years before he decides to release any and I bet he has songs which he'll never release.

I hope the title includes the word international because Noel sings in Japanese or something.

Just listening to this now, disapointed it's only a instrumental. Clearly a leftover from high flying birds first album, thw whole kids chattering at the end is very record machine.

This should be his walk-on song in the next tour.

I wonder if it came out of a jam? Coz that riff sounds like the first half of the "Freaky Teeth" opening riff. Even the chord progression as that clip is ending feels like FT's chorus

Is it too insane it might be a slice of what the Amorphous Androgynous sessions might have been? A piece of that unreleased album, with a variant, psychedelic version of Freaky Teeth?

The sound effects sound like All Around The World to me. It has that choir segment which always grates on me from SOTSOG and NGHFB.

Ain't the guitar riff the first half of the Come On Outside riff? Dun dundun, dun dun dundundun?

Wow, really loved the instrumental. Reminds me of something between Come On Outside and Let the Lord Shine a Light on Me.

Sounds interesting although I can't see myself coming back to it much
Wonder what he was supposed to do with it and why he never finished it

This song is on the DOYS making of documentary. A small few second excerpt. people thought it was come in its alright at the time. It's about half way through the documentary so its definietly an oasis leftover

Impressive how International Magic manages to sound like so many other songs simultaneously. X

Impressive how International Magic manages to sound like so many other songs simultaneously. X It's like the love child of Come on Outside and Freaky Teeth. I'm not a huge fan of instrumentals but I really liked it! Tho the fact it reminds so much of other songs might be the reason why it got scrapped.

Noel is like any other songwriter who spends a long time riffing on an idea in many different forms, on many different songs/demos before he finds just the right song for it to exist on. This is clearly one of the many tries he made at this riff. So itās interesting in the sense that you can sorta chart his refinement of said idea.

As someone who has collected so much Ryan Adams music itās funny to hear ideas pop up 15 years apart. James Horner was a genius and he āplagiarisedā himself in pretty much every score. Bicentennial Man is almost a greatest hits. Thereās bits of Braveheart and Titanic and all sorts in there.

Nice to hear something left over from DOYS (or at least something from that era) after all these years. Certainly has some nice ideas to it, should have been the basis or germination of something more spectacular for the second half of that album.
