I'd take a covers album as a RSD special. Bear in mind this is not a mainstream release and will be limited. Mind Games sounds awesome.
I'd hope he's keeping his new stuff for a proper new HFB album.
Then again a remix or compilation album is probably more the reality of his (lazy) style.

The RSD remix ep from 2019 was pretty awesome Yeah tbh I didn't really care for the remixes up until a few months ago but they're all really well done I can see why it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I thought it was a nice release It would be good to mix ideas up a bit though |

For me:
New material > Covers > remixes > compilation
Of course if it's a compilation a new single we'd be somewhere in the middle.
But then again, Noel filmed a video so we know it can't be for compilation or remixes right?

Noel hates doing videos, so doubt he would’ve gone to the effort and cost of doing one for something truly low key like another remix EP.
Gives me hope it’s going to be something a bit bigger this year.

Noel loved the Beta Bands 3 EPs album. Guess what that album was compromised of? A collection of their 3 EPs the prior year. Plus new track to remote it. Exclusive Noel brown hair color vinyl on RSD, jet black for wider release 2 weeks later.

Seems like all the signs are here to point towards a bigger release. Now I’m not saying it’s a full new album / era but seems like something more than just remixes in the works. |

I remember RSD 2019, I totally talked myself into Noel releasing a “touring band EP”. At the time we knew Noel was in the studio with his birds recording. We knew it was too soon for a proper album and we had no idea 3 EPs were on the horizon. A lot of forum members pointed out to me that I was foolish to believe Noel would waste any brand new material on a small scale RSD release. That it was totally not Noel’s style and it would be remixes of songs from MOON. Well they were all absolutely right and I was totally wrong. I dream big. I highly doubt this is a new album. Maybe a new song lumped in with a wider release a few weeks later. Noel is way too old school in his ways. I also expect an announcement by this Tuesday.
