Oh my God, I hope not. If this is true then I certainly won't be buying it. Don’t worry, like I said, it’s just what I’ve heard on the grapevine. I’m not 100% sure What’s Going On... Yeah, I know. But I remember that there was a story in one of the newspapers not so long ago about Noel wanting to do a covers album. But if it was true is anyone's guess. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. |

He only mentioned he’s considering a double album a couple of years ago, after WBTM came out. In interviews from when Moon came out he said: - 3 other songs were recorded with Holmes that didn't make the album - 18 "tracks" were recorded with Holmes in total - 50 pieces of music were worked on with Holmes in total - In the same time period he's written 2 albums worth of normal songs not even considered for the Moon “studio written" only project Since then he’s remembered an album’s worth of material from his Oasis days, such as Slow. And now he’s saying he is having a purple patch in his new studio writing loads of new tunes. So even taking into account his hyperbole and that some of this material will have gone on the EPs, I still think a double album is theoretically possible. It’s not something he’s been promising for decades and gone cold on. It is recent idea and it definitely sounds like he has enough material should he want to. Also, he’ll be staring down sixty soon. Is he going to sit hoarding all his tunes forever? He shown with the EPs he’s willing to try new things now. Finally, from a commercial perspective, b-sides are dead these days. Adding a second disc to an album will generate more streams. X |

That’s pretty much what he said in the interview which the press blew all out of proportion. He has plenty of spare time in the studio so it’s easy to record the odd cover now and again. It’s exactly what he did with Mind Games. X |

Well, I certainly don't want an album full of cover versions and Noel should release his own music when he's going to release an album. The odd cover as a b.side is ok like Oasis used to do but at least they were only here and there and not on every single release.
