I do agree that if he wasn't so loud about it there wouldn't be as much discussion around the matter (I mean, every other Oasis comment section on YT is "this sounds like..." and you get 50 different tunes), but I like the honesty, that "I'm doing this and getting away with it and there's fuck all you can do" attitude served him well in the end and helped him when the ripoffs where actually blatant (see: Cigarettes & Alcohol) Yeah but where does plagiarism start ? Cigs and alcohol is stolen from T. rex but that was stolen from a basic blues riff and it’s still used in millions of songs. It’s the most simple guitar riff ever sped up and complexified. Noel made it perfect. I see a few plagiarism like shaker maker or don’t go away or she’s electric or more recently holy mountain (I suspect few of them are unconscious rip offs) but cigs and alc is not one of them for me. It’s just a riff that is there like a chord progression. Most people don’t see the difference but it’s a big one. People also mention DLBIA piano but it’s just two simple chords that happened to have been used is the most known song in the world. Morally he is an unfair, self-centered, greedy, traitor and liar guy. Professionally he has written great songs and is the best songwriter of Oasis, but he is not a genius because he has done a lot of plagiarism. It has a good vocal range but its timbre is not rock, while Liam's voice is much more beautiful and particular. He's not a good frontman, his solo records are pretty overrated, and his gigs are quite boring and without grit. Anyway, another thing I blame Noel for is putting (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady on Dig Out Your Soul. For me it's one of the worst songs that Noel has ever written.

Supersonic's guitar solo is one Noel's openly admitted. |

For me it's one of the worst songs that Noel has ever written. im with you on this GOYHHL is by far the bottom of the NG barrell, you dont see him doing it live as HFBs ,whippin it out to surprise everyone like " heres a song ive not ever done live before" and doubt he ever would, when the powers that be locked doys as this is the 7th oasis studio album, he said fuck all about it ir changed his mind, its just vanished n thank fuck for that |

Whats your opinion on Liam?
Liam is natural, loyal, sincere, sensitive and selfless. He is a decent author, with some notable peaks. It has an impressive voice and a peculiar timbre that is very well suited to different musical genres. The biggest mistake he made was to not heal his voice for many years. He is a great frontman, he doesn't do much on stage, but his charisma and what little he does manages to excite people enormously as if he did who knows what, and this is a great talent. It often underestimates some of its potential. Jeez you make him sound like Mother Theresa. |

Give the guy a break, dude. It's all Noel's fault who puppet-mastered the media since 1985.

For the record, while I like both of them, they have both been utter twats in the past. Wouldn't lionise either of them or hold them up as some sort of moral saviours. No Team Noel, no Team Liam - it's pathetic and immature. |
