did I read someone complaining the demo wasnt just acoustic + vocals I'd have this as the lead single and All you're dreaming of (acoustic) as the b-side. BEST holidays EVAH (eva! - wasnt intentional.)

Wonderful song. Nothing huge but achieves what it sets out to do perfectly.

Omg! It’s great! Slept in and just had a listen first thing. Made my day already. Pretty finished demo. I could see adding some horns towards end and a little guitar flourish in a gap I heard around same time - but other than that... More of this, Noel

I can almost hear Noel dropping some horn sections into this song. Specifically around the 3 min mark. Has that light sunny Kinks feel to it.

You know what I don't get.. What's wrong with a song just being classic Noel these days? Why isn't it good enough or claimed to be to safe or lacking if there isn't some element of "experimentation" or whatever you want to call it.
This song may be nothing new and very samey to what he's done before but what is wrong with that exactly? Who Built The Moon? and his EP's achieved something different and that's cool but I think it's refreshing to hear him go back to his old sound.
That is what made us huge fans in the first place anyway is it not?

I agree about this, and think the same about the opposite (loads of people not even giving a chance to "cosmic pop shite") It seems to me people are more concerned about the sound than the actual tune

To be fair I think most people appreciate that, I personally think that while this isn't his greatest work he has an effortless talent for this kind of song that made me love him and Oasis whereas he just isn't that talented at writing electro-pop.

I love it! Listened to it right when I woke up and it really lift up my mood. It is classic Noel and it's great.
I really like both the "cosmic" and the "classic" Noel, and I hope next album is kind of a mix of both.

His best artwork yet, by the way. Simply wonderful. Hopefully it's not "wasted" on a demo that may or may not even be streamable...

This song may be nothing new and very samey to what he's done before but what is wrong with that exactly? Who Built The Moon? and his EP's achieved something different and that's cool but I think it's refreshing to hear him go back to his old sound. That is what made us huge fans in the first place anyway is it not? Couldn't agree with you more on this point. There's a sound and feel that is synonymous with Noel Gallagher-written tunes and that is what we've all been drawn to. It was really cool to see him experiment a new direction/style for Who Built the Moon and the EPs, a lot of which has been very enjoyable. A couple of things didn't seem to sit right though when it came to the formulation of it. For a start, there was that conversation between David Holmes and Noel at the beginning of their collaboration when Noel tried to play tunes he'd already had written in the studio and Holmes said to put them away because the world has heard enough of them and that he's the best at this kind of thing (or something along those lines) and while I guess Noel sounded surprised at being told that by someone and he then enjoyed the new creative process, a part of me thought 'isn't that the point, though? That Noel is the best at what he does, not many can do what he does, so why not carry on with that?' Ultimately, though I guess that would have defeated the point of the collaboration and a 'new' sound in the first place but I did hope that this didn't mean we'd not see the classic Noel style again (which would have been a big loss), as he seemed quite bullish that this was his new direction. However, his decision to produce album #4 himself rather than go with Holmes again, his new studio in Kings Cross and new tunes like this (albeit not the finished version) gives further signs that the old Noel is back - and thank fuck for that.
