Meh, rather dull I thought. Certainly nowhere near the quality of Sail On. Once again, rather mid paced and plodding and the drums ruin it. A shame he's backed out from the adventurous cinematic sound he had for Who Built The Moon and reverted back to this. Yeah it would make a good bside at most. Even Wandering star is a bit more adventurous right. Hoping for that motown x pistols / bach thing he's hyped really more than those type of songs.

Mmh, think this is much better than Wandering Star tbh And Sail On, too, but I don't necessarily see them as similar, I put Sail On in the "acoustic melancholic Half The World Away" bracket, this is a lot more poppy Don't think it's gonna be a single or anything though, there's no way they would consciously spoil it with an unreleased demo, may end up as a bonus/b-side

Ach that original post makes me sound like a miserable old sod, it’s a decent thing for something he wrote a few weeks ago and swiftly recorded. But it’s yet another upbeat song that somehow feels too heavy and weighed down by its lumbering sound. Like Wandering Star, I won’t be listening to it in a hurry.

Sounds ok i quite like it. Maybe missing a hook chorus but would be a good album track. Maybe a wee guitar solo before the last chorus. I like that hes working on more "flag waving" sounding stuff. WBTM was decent but want more big choruses

Noel’s song will probably turn out to just have a piano on it A Pistols / Motown mix sounds way better! X

The other two we know from the start where they are going. Not a bad thing but since the EPs, I like when Noel surprises me. I could do without Noel by number ballads, unless they are top level.

A shame he's backed out from the adventurous cinematic sound he had for Who Built The Moon and reverted back to this. Much prefer All You're Dreaming Of, now that's really grown on me. I'm happy for there to be a mix. In terms of demos, and the lyrics - even though I doubt they're about the pandemic, they fit well - are nice. Lovely chord progression and how the song builds up to that middle eight. Noel's range is great. Favourite bit for me though is the end, with the walkdown - pretty sure it's the same that's in Champagne Supernova. Just happy to have another new tune.

FINALLY IT'S NOT DANCING SHIT AHHH NOEL IT'S SO GOOD
Best New Year gift. Good old Noel, what can we have more? Perfect end of awful year
love it from the first note. love it
edit: okay, it sounds too basic and safe lyrically and melodically - and that's even disappointing. Too Noel-typical. But it's a demo. Still better than most of the music he released since 2017 though

Noel won’t release a record without a tour at least in Uk. But if vaccination goes fast enough there maybe end of summer 🙂

Finally Noel is back What a cracking tune this is so much better than the utter rubbish he has been serving up since Who Built the Moon. What a way to start the New Year Thanks Noel , good to have you back doing what you should be doing ie writing instant classics.

It's a nice little gift for the end of the year. Not particularly amazed as its to me sort of a B side feeling type of tune.Nice lyrics just not one personally that i will listen to much once the novelty of a new Noel tune has worn off. I am awaiting more the come on outside stylee from Noel. GOTTA LOVE THAT TUNE....both versions!

Love it, really nice melody, Noel sounds brilliant (feel like his voice shines on stuff like this more than the EP stuff). Nice little surprise.

How is this not on Spotify yet?? Don't think it was meant to be a proper release, just his acknowledgement of the year we just had and to say not to lose hope in coming out of the other side of this mess.

It's a nice tune, cheers Noel, a bonus to end the year with. I wonder whether he has put it out as a feeler to see what to do for his next album or whether it was literally he was strumming some chords and the tune came out of the sky likes he says and thought 'fuck it, I'll just get it out there now because I'm never going to use it'. Personally I'd like a proper acoustic album next.

Honestly, come to think about it, this beats all the three EP title tracks for me. I like the disco/dance/cosmic whatever style Noel experiments with, but this song reminds me why I love him in the first place. For a demo/non-album track this is ridiculously good.
