Listened to it for a second time after a couple of weeks. It's a really nice melody, but once again torpedoed by its mid tempo heavy handed ploddiness. The drums, as usual, weigh it down.
Like most of Noel's first and second album, really nice tune but it doesn't take flight purely for these uninspired pacings and instrumentals. It's a Dave Sardy wet dream, that's what it is.

Don't mind the cheesiness one bit. We need anything like that at the minute. I've had such a bad 2020 (I know everyone has but that doesn't make it any easier) and this year has already started better and I just feel Noel offered me that glimmer of light to aim for like all his songs used to.
I might sound just as cheesy here but everything about this song is why Noel is my favourite songwriter ever. When he gets it right he resonates with me like no artist ever has.

I don't think that the song will be on any streaming sites because it's only a demo and not a proper release. And, I think that if it was going to be on any of the streaming sites then it would have been on them from the start.

I don't care that much about itunes, just release this in vinyl! I only care about iTunes in the absence of a CD release or download code with a vinyl. That way I can have a high quality version of a song on my laptop / phone and can incorporate said song into my own media library / playlists. That way it lasts forever. Spotify is awesome right up until the moment they start removing songs or messing around with them and they start disappearing from your 'library' for no reason. |

Mental how these days Noel can release a brand new song and within a month the thread is literally dead.
Not meaning to stoke fires, just an observation.
Even just a few years ago a month old new Noel Gallagher song thread having zero replies for over a week would have been unthinkable.
Noel seems to be entering his mid 1980's McCartney period of slowly becoming irrelevant.

underneaththesky, Great playlist. Can I add the demos to Stranded on the wrong beach, Everybody's on the Run and Freaky Teeth the demo's not album versions. Although Stranded album version is quite good. Also Freaky Teeth in Dublin 2011 is electric.
