I like it. It felt like just what I needed. So I’m grateful for it.

I like it, it sounds like a forgotten song from the WTSMG? era.

Folk calling this cheesey and clichéd clearly not Oasis fans then, no? The music hasnae changed. You have. Ye loved it when ye were a bright eyed young 'un. It's still great. You're just older. Can't agree. 100% sure I've not changed since last Friday when I listened to Definitely Maybe and it was entire worlds away from this (and I don't dislike this, but I love and cherish DM.) There are so many elements to that album's special energy and as always, it's partly that yin and yang of Liam snarling, stretching and nearly breaking Noel's more syrupy words that can't be be beat, but it's not just that. The lyrics have an energy that does capture something original--something that is anything but generic platitudes (and there's nothing wrong with "Don't worry, be happy" sentiments but that's not Oasis to me. Oasis is more like it "Fuck it, be happy" which is a much more resonant feeling. Early Oasis is exuberant fury or angry optimism but it's that mix that sets it apart and made them stand out from thousands of thrashing guitar bands with charisma). I'll quote Alex Neven from his book on DM since he says it so well. This might be too heady for some tastes, but the tldr is that there's substance there (if you want to dig into it, but of course you can love it anyway): "In counterpoint to their message of communal hope, Oasis [also] sang about loneliness and escape ... Oasis songs proliferate with calls for breakout and departure, but with an accompanying sense that doing so will result in betrayal and loss of precious aspect of core identity. Repeatedly, there are cries that things are sliding away, slipping away, fading away, that something is being thrown away, that time is running out and sadness is about to engulf us even at moments of euphoria and triumph. Fade Away, one of the band's famously over-brilliant early B-sides, condenses that in a beautiful motto, the gist of which is that our dreams are in a state of decay almost from the moment we are born. Oasis songs are awash with a sense of imminent collapse and disaster...rain pours down, sinks fill up, the sound of the sea bellows in the background and individuals are buried under great tides of water and landslides of champagne." Naturally, I wouldn't expect Noel to write with urgency about escape in his current life. (Although for me, he has written more interesting lyrics on other themes in recent times.) But love or leave this song, there is a gap between it and Oasis. People aren't imagining something that never was.

It's not bad you know, don't mind it. Certainly better than some of Noel's recent stuff.

I like it, it sounds like a forgotten song from the WTSMG? era. Yeah I can see that. Good to see Noel going back to what he does best.

I think this will stand the test of time.
Hope he doesn’t mess with the demo too much.

Can I please just say that when people compare this to early Oasis we are almost definitely referencing the likes of Take Me Away or Going Nowhere or Half The World Away.

Doesn't seem like much of a demo to me. Sounds finished.

Been listening to this for a week now. First I thought, nice little track, it's ok. But now I love it. It gets stuck in my head. When I hear it I can sing along. It's got such a positive vibe. Noel back to what he does best. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Moon-EP's era, though I like some tracks (blue moon rising, it's a beautiful world, the man who built the moon). Hopefully this is a return to "his" style.

Doesn't seem like much of a demo to me. Sounds finished. If you loosen the ears you will notice a lot of empty space that would obviously be beefed up later on. This song is crying for a horn section around the 3 min mark.

I must admit that I haven't listened to this demo much but it's still a good song and it will be a crime if Noel doesn't release it properly.

It's OK . That's it Listened to it again for first time this year. Have to say it doesn't have any staying power. I think it was a nice gesture at the time but not a grower for me.

Not getting back to it, no desire to listen to it. Best left as a demo Noel.

Yeah right !? 🤣 Sorry I find the melody very cheesy. Noel’s made some great soft tune, but this one is not clicking. Wandering star 2 for me.
