Why are you so obsessed with the scarf? What's the meaning behind it?

Yep, it was indeed the same scarf.

Very good performance - think it's best he can sound right now. Still far from 2017 heights but who cares? Only me maybe. But vocally it's very, very good. Another performance that proves AYDO's live better than studio. And what a perfect look - he's rock as fuck! upd. I re-watched it for 'mimed' stuff - no way. Liam is absolutely live, Dan plays his drum cymbals to the beat, backing vocals are also at least by that bassist (forgot the name) and he also sings to the beat, strings' girls are all right... Didn't find anything wrong Do you really think 2017 was better?

This is getting quite silly. Watch it in real-time on a good monitor/TV and you will see that it is light bouncing off the wrinkles of his shiny jacket fabric, which is perfectly capable of producing an illusion of stripes. When he moves, voila, "scarf" disappears! It is not a scarf. [source: I work in the motion picture industry. Even if you are "suspicious" of the recording, the idea that somehow Liam recorded this multiple times in order to perfectly lip synch but then somehow put a scarf on and then off without anyone noticing is hilarious.] He just wore the same scarf on the one show Just saw the scarf he was wearing on the One Show. I've watched the clip many times and the "scarf" still appears to disappear before the edit, which still suggests a lighting effect, but I admit it could also be the opposite way -- the scarf is real and disappears due to the lighting. Anyway, this does add a new wrinkle. Not since "Paul is Dead ..." Shockingly unprofessional if they really did a take with and without a scarf. It's something not even a first-day intern should miss. But I guess it is the Jonathan Ross show.

The funny part is that either they're completely oblivious to the whole thing ... and hence Liam wore the same scarf ... or they are winding people up ... and hence Liam wore the scarf. Non scarf-related, but truly horrendous lighting on Liam in the One Show segment. They need some Zoom advice.

Just watched it and an amazing vocal from Liam, I don't like the song but that was genuinely top. Clearly not a mime, I can see why people may think that but when you analyse it carefully it's not. And surprised about the hate for Matt Lucas, he was alright. His jibes at Liam and Oasis were ok and made for good Liam replies, that's the whole point of these chat shows. He knows the game. And whoever that blonde was she was lovely. ā¤ Great pair of tits on her. Agree with you on the song and Liam's vocal - massively meh song, massively great vocal. Matt Lucas is responsible for one of the most casually racist and transphobic lowest common denominator pieces of trash TV in recent memory. I have no interest in anything he has to say. Yeah I couldn't stand Little Britain, even back then as a teenager.

Even though the vocal is touched up in post (only time that didn't happen was when he sang NTIFY live on TV last year, that was just raw), it's still a brilliant performance from Liam here. I think he sang it a lot better than the studio version! Whether he's just more used to singing it now and that's improved things? Overall it's one of my favourite TV appearances of his he's ever done.

Not to keep this going, but I did ask a friend with expertise to watch it. Totally neutral party, last time he heard of Liam Gallagher was when he bought WTSMG in the 90s, but he also thought I was completely insane for asking (not wrong) so I donāt think he took it too seriously. He said, āWhat scarf? Thatās his jacket.ā So there you go. I will say if you watch it frame by frame what looks like stripes still appears to resolve into his jacket before there is an edit, but Iām no expert in post-production work. I just found it very hard from my POV to believe if the point was to make it look live that they used takes with and without a scarf. But hey, it's a talk show, people do silly stuff all the time and it's a hard time for crews in general. And yet ... while seeing him wearing a striped scarf the next day is certainly odd (or hilarious), there remains no hard evidence. Scarfgate lives on. /s

Scarfgate lives on. /s most probably the scarf is there but they filmed it two or three times. Being a mime, they had to have it perfectly synched. So scarf on take one, Liam too hot, scarf gone on take two and three (and four). I doubt they edited the scarf in post on the whole song, too much work.

It's no Zapruder film, but agreed that they probably wouldn't bother to try to erase a scarf, if it was there, in post which is why I still don't get why I see the stripes resolve before the edit. But all is illusion ... or so they say.

It should be our next case, dont you think ? We can solve it in a day or two (There's definitely a fluffy stuff around his neck at around 1.12 though, his jacket is not fluffy).

A day or two might be very ambitious. All the evidence isnāt in, is it? What if heās wearing a see-through ascot on Jimmy Fallon? Or what if he unzips his jacket at the end of his performance only to reveal itās all scarves all the way down? We canāt know.

Sheryl Crow did a live too on Fallon few days ago, it's obviously completely 100% live Also, check out that Liam performance live from 1995. Mind Blowing.

Nah, you're not gonna make me watch Sheryl Crow do whatever she's going to do to poor Tom Petty. Although I would absolutely tune in to watch Liam sing on a porch wearing cowboy boots, mime or not.
