That Dan Wootten is a twat anyway as are everyone else who work for that so called newspaper The Scum. All that matters is that the song made a splash in the mid week charts and also it's been number one in other charts. So who gives a shit about people like Dan Wooten and other critics who hate Liam.

My 12' white vinyl came today so all I'm waiting for now is my red vinyl which I know is on the way. Even if I don't get it until after Christmas it doesn't matter I'll wait. But the main thing is it's been dispatched.

Lovely set for those who went for all 3.

Yeah, the red vinyl is quite unique I think so I'm glad that I got that one as well. And, it's great to know that I will have all three vinyls in my collection. It would be nice if Liam and Warner did things like this for Liam's future singles.

A "number 1 in our hearts" kind of take ... www.nme.com/features/liam-gallagher-all-youre-dreaming-of-christmas-chart-battle-2842839How Liam Gallagher could return the Christmas chart battle to relevance The cracking 'All You're Dream Of' could deliver us from LadBaby, who β for all his charity goodness β doesn't exactly instil faith in the sanctity of the Top 10By Mark Beaumont 21st December 2020 On the second eve of the waning winterval moon, somewhere in a dusty tomb buried deep beneath Scott Millsβ studio, the low-humming druids of the Official Chart Company begin their annual Slademass incantations. They wipe the dust from a stone inscription reading βUK Singles Chartβ with the ceremonial John Lewis hand towel and slap the button that turns off the algorithm autopilot processing Drake plays at a trillion streams a second and return the singles chart to human control. And so begins the feral seven-day orgy of blood, mistletoe, wine and sausage rolls. Yes, itβs that one week of the year again when anybody at all cares about the UK singles chart. Like manufacturers of cracker-sized packs of playing cards and Michael BublΓ©, the chart lies dormant and forgotten for 50-odd weeks of the year, waiting for its brief annual window of relevance. After many years of shrinking importance and dwindling mainstream coverage, the singles chart finally jumped the Baby Shark in 2014, when the decision to include streaming figures basically dumped the whole sorry mess in the lap of YouTubeβs Up Next autoplay function and told it to bloody well add itself up. Hence βhitβ after βhitβ of innocuous identikit rap/pop/rave playlist fodder, smothering the chances of anything more left-field or interesting making an impact. Except Christmas when β as with our relatives β we begrudgingly acknowledge that the UK Singles Chart still exists and make half-hearted efforts to try to do something relatively worthy with it. But even the traditional race for Christmas Number One has lost its last lustre. Itβs been 11 years since we banded together to smash The X Factor hegemony by getting Rage Against The Machineβs βKilling In The Nameβ to Number One; since then the annual charity-led βdecency vs Cowellβ chart battle has given way to a profound disinterest. For the last two years amateur blogger LadBaby has been Christmas Number One with novelty sausage roll themed covers of β70s soft-rock hits and, considering that the singles chart has become a joke stuffed with reconstituted slurry made mostly of buttock, heβs welcome to it. At time of writing, the chart is stuffed full of the usual festive suspects β Chris Rea, Wham!, Shakinβ Stevens, Elton John, Geldof. It might finally be time for Mariah Careyβs βAll I Want For Christmas Is Youβ to βget the recognition it deservesβ, as if Mariah would notice the minor uptick in her seasonal bullion truck delivery. You canβt even see Celesteβs John Lewis ad song for dust, as if they know that being too closely associated with Xmas 2020 will send them the way of Debenhams. In terms of new contenders, itβs not even worth a wild festive punt. All the bookies have LadBaby as a dead cert shoo in for his third Christmas Number One in a row with his rewrite of Journeyβs βDonβt Stop Believinββ (βDonβt Stop Me Eatinββ). Justin Bieber making up with the Lewisham And Greenwich NHS Choir on a charity version of βHolyβ, finally burying the hatchet after their brutal, below-the-belt battle for the 2015 top spot, doesnβt even stand a chance against the Christmas chart pastriarchy. The whole pitiful farrago is perhaps an undeniable sign that we should simply hold up our hands and give up on the singles chart for good. But one man isnβt letting it slide into irrelevance without a fight. Step forward Liam Gallagher, touting his Lennon-esque shot for Xmas glory βAll Youβre Dreaming Ofβ. Number Two in the midweeks, yet still a 100/1 long shot according to William Hill, the track β a proper cracker, as it happens β feels more like a wintry hug in our darkest hour (βWhat are you dreaming of? Is it the kind of love thatβll be there when the world is at its worst?β) than any sort of grasp at the Noddy dollar. And while it might have a pint in Tier Fourβs chance of making Xmas Number One, it does carry a deeper significance. It stands a real chance of proving that, under the right conditions, a track by an ostensibly left-field act can still break the UK Top 10 and at least give Jess Glynneβs cover of βThis Christmasβ a run for its Amazon-backed money. It seems the real Christmas race in 2020 is for the soul and purpose of the chart itself, and itβll play out some places below LadBabyβs Greggsmas feast.

My red vinyl arrived today which is good as I wasn't sure if I would get it before Christmas. It's really cool and probably my favourite out of all three releases.

Well, let's hope that chart is correct then and yes, it would be great for Liam to have a top 20 solo hit.

It's me, nobodytoldme or nobodytoldme2 (always having trouble logging in, in between various ProBoards forums).
Being extremely dissatisfied with the bloated processing on the vocals of the studio version of βAll Youβre Dreaming Ofβ, and the almost non-existent dynamics of the master, I decided to take a shot at restoring the beauty demolished within the final mix.
Itβs far from perfect, having to make-do with what I was capable of without having the multi-tracks, but Iβm being satisfied enough to share the results. I tried to restore some dynamic range, gifting the song now with 6db more head room than the original, actually building up instead of being one loud blob in overdrive.
I put the lead vocal up, removed the over the top reverb effects from the vocals, tried to restore the harsh EQ-ing, tamed the robotic artifacts from the pitch correction, toned down the overblown compression which was cranked up to the point of distortion. All so his angelic lead vocal can sound like it was once intended. And I fixed the bad edit when the piano comes in. Hope you enjoy.
Oh, and if someone knows a better title than "vocal restored edit", I gladly hear it.

I've said what i think about how badly the vocal was produced on the original but i also think the lack of backing vocals and more instruments is a huge mistake too.
On the live version they really add something after that second verse that you don't get much at all from the original. And it'd help the song as a whole so much more to have more emphasis on that last verse if it was more grand and had a middle 8.
I feel like they're telling him they want it stripped back so we just get Liam, as if to say we have total confidence in your voice carrying the tune but then completely undermining that by editing the fuck out of it.

I wasn't convinced of the strategy at first, but he got two weeks in the top 40 he probably wouldn't have got otherwise and had the time to do some promo, which wouldn't have happened on Christmas week, plus if we're talking pure sales number I'm sure with the stacked release some people both downloaded it when it first came out and then bought the vinyl It was a risky move and there's no counterproof, but imo they can be happy with the end result

LadBaby only had 444k streams on Spotify to get number one. I think if they'd have realeased Liam's on the 18th for streaming it would have been top 10.
