One of my least favourite LG videos. It was awkward to watch, way way way too much singing to the camera, when LG looked away I was like phew thank you. Strange how they could go from One Of Us being such a badass, beautiful video to this - I don’t get it...

Pretty uninspiring video tbh. Not that any of his other ones are particularly great. If he is going to be in video singing then I always think he looks better with a mic in front of him. He just looks awkward in this.

Plus, they were clearly putting a lot of resources into a different major video production that came out looking really good.
Also, maybe it's just me but I find the One of Us video kind of cringey, too. I can see all the cool conceptual stuff, but at the center of it, it's Liam plodding up a hill, looking dour. I do like the Wall of Glass video, mostly. I just think we're all better off when Liam isn't expected to do anything that even approaches acting.

You don't have to go out of your way to make Liam look great about everything. This is seriously one of the most insane cases of celebrity worship ever. The video sucks. You can still do interesting things with direction even in a pandemic. This was just really uninspired and awkward and it was difficult to watch because of it. |

The question was why this video involving the very same creative team was so much more boring than the One Of Us video. I'd add to the above list a charity project budget. I actually get the intention of the video, it just didn't come off, likely from a combined lack of budget/time/ambition. Personally, I'd like to see Liam work with some more interesting directors, but it wasn't going to happen at this juncture. |

About the song... 'When you're losing ground still tell you that you're worth all you're dreaming of' is a great lyric but 'cover you in kisses unrehearsed' is incredibly cringe worthy.

Doesn't even have to be a narrative to be more interesting (I mean does WAP have a narrative?  That's a joke, please don't anyone tell me I'm a crazed Cardi B stan.) All it has to be is visually dynamic and have an attitude in keeping with who he is (in this case they went with the tone of the song with the whole "Bing by the fire" stuff, which can appear amusing in connection with Liam, but the song isn't amusing, it's tender, so that's already a tough trick to pull off.) That said, video ideas that don't work are a dime a dozen. Especially now when so little money is thrown at them. Don't think it's so much about Liam. Liam has plenty of screen presence and he doesn't need to be Michael Fassbender. It's just a matter of using it in the right way. Really, music videos don't matter like they used to. And Liam has no need to use videos to get his face out there. But since he's going to make them anyway, he could work with some different young filmmakers and do something more fun for sure. |

MV isn’t particularly good and not particularly bad. It’s ok. It’s obvious that budget was small (plus corona restrictions) but they kept it simple so there is no cringeworthy stuff.

What a debate! I was Happy to see Liam without coat for more than a decade, and I'm really Happy that He still got the Shirt from the the WHO feels Love Video! Liam must have been really cold with all that snow and wind inside the house. Quite surprised he didn't wear a parka. But singing keeps you warm. |

It's not the worst thing ever, but the editing looks like it was done on a phone. There's a lot of excess and ugly, crowded visual effects. Why would I watch the video instead of just listening to the song? Whatever. If the video does well enough to push the song up the charts then that's good for Liam, and us as fans. |

Also, shout out to Liam. He looks like he's lost some weight and just looks and sounds better overall. Quarantine has done wonders for him on all fronts. Sure he's getting plenty of rest without the stress of touring. Recording from home also probably helped the vocal.
