I think they're at least partly right tbh. I'm sure I've seen a Warner Music press release somewhere that talked about him singing high, which seemed weird at the time. I'm absolutely convinced the songs on WMWN were kept as close to 3:30 as possible for Spotify etc. I’m happy to take any of it on board if there’s is something to back it up. But the whole presenting ones opinion as fact in a world where Donald Trump and flat earthers exist doesn’t really cut it for me. If he can show that he didn’t sing it live then by all means show the people. Yeah, that bit is utter nonsense. I'm on about the songs being deliberately higher.

I always thought there was a possibility that as he is using other songwriters that they’re not necessarily taking in to account what’s comfortable Liam. They’re just writing songs and Liam is having to raise his game. Either way I think it’s probably been a good thing.

It’s not even first time in Liam’s life when he had to do it. I read some Noel’s interview, he said that sometimes Liam complained to him that a new song was too high for him. And Noel just shrugged and said that if Liam can’t sing it then Noel will sing it. After that Liam tried and tried until he succeeded

The track is a grower. I think that will help it carry some momentum in the chartings

Wasn't a fan of it first listen, but it's grown on me. I feel like it doesn't really go anywhere (was expecting a big middle-eight) but, for what it is, it's a lovely tune and a great vocal. Plus, Liam is back to looking great and sounding great live.

You think it is Liam singing on the vinyl edition? I also hope mine is wrapped in a scarf.

You think it is Liam singing on the vinyl edition? I also hope mine is wrapped in a scarf. and I hope it got a biscuit with LG logo on, only available on the official store. Think about good good people from management. It's not such a bad idea.

Where can I buy an mp3 download ? Not on the official website. I don't buy vinyl. I just want a cd or mp3 legal so it goes to the good cause. Does that still exist somewhere? :-D

After a few days of listening, I'd say as far as his ballads go:
Once > All You're Dreaming Of > For What It's Worth
Tell you what though, All You're Dreaming Of is damn catchy, literally can't stop whistling it round the house.

It's a nice little song, you don't get many old fashioned Christmas songs anymore so nice to have. Can't believe anyone thought he was singing live. It's obvious he's not, the best singer in the world can't replicate their studio takes to the exact note. I wouldn't want this to be live because it'd mean they're auto-tuning the fuck out of his live voice, since there are parts that are clearly covered in effects. . thank god, thank you for that. It's obvious with a little time and a simple garageband analysis with the tracks synched that he's not singing live and that it is the studio version... which has a very "live" vocals. It's not big of a deal, but looks like he said it was live on social media, so it's a bit cringe to me. As i said, i'd share the tracks mixed together but since it's copyrighted i cant. The Jonathan Ross version is a little sped up, between 0.5x to 0.6x but it's almost impossible to find the real speed with basic tools.

It´s pretty obvious that Liam was programmed as a computer in the backstage just to perform at 0.5/0.06x speed up his vocals studio version and perfectly sync his lips and microphone with the playback. Best mimed performance in TV history.

Best mimed performance in TV history. It's a good mimed performance, but I don't get the incredulity that someone can mime convincingly, it's only what you see day in day out with regular pop acts. Oasis just never bothered. Liam puts more effort in now he's on a label. His vocals certainly aren't perfectly matched though, plenty of times it feels odd watching how he's singing but hearing the record vocal come out. Literally the first 10 seconds I watched this it felt off. I won't get into a too and from with the forum stalker. It's clearly not live, if people are really really desperate to believe it is, well its the first of December, go with it, I won't be a grinch. I don't really get the offence though at calling an obvious studio vocal a studio vocal. No-one used to care. The defensiveness is rather telling. If it helps, I've seen Noel mime before!!! I've even see him fail/not bother with falsetto parts!! Oh my god I must hate Noel!!! It's amazing even a singer obviously miming can spark page of angry denials. But my sister used to get angry when I'd tease about the Spice girls miming back in 1995 and she'd furiously deny it, so maybe it's not just a sign of the time. The song itself is quite a grower, I like the SCYHO nod with the repeated chorus. It doesn't feel 4 minutes, I'd like the repeated chorus again at the end.

Live, not live, scarf, not scarf.
Some people can't get enough, it seems. First world problem FFS.

He sings “and take your spotlight” so he’s mimed everything but just quickly added in “and” and made it sound exactly like everything else. Crazy. Or maybe he just sang it live but obviously the former is more probable.

Live, not live, scarf, not scarf. Some people can't get enough, it seems. First world problem FFS. Debunking stuff more like. Like a detective. It’s not being offensive or anything just that when I watched it, it struck me as being not live and wanted to be sure. Is that wrong ? No. Claiming its live on social media is a bit though. This world of blind followers is a bit scary. Sure it’s nothing, it’s just Liam Gallagher, but it represents the world we live in now. Be in or be out. No middle ground. No debate, no room for doubt.

You’ve provided no evidence. If you are really interested in debunking something maybe you could address mrose’s point above.

What the fuck is going on in here? We got people hating that Liam has a songwriting team, we got people who don’t think he can sing anymore. We got others that think this performance was a Frankenstein. We got others commenting on neck fashion. At this point is Liam just an avatar for peoples “Id”?

I’m sure we have a thread for Liam’s Hello on BBC Radio 2. I just can’t find it....
But he sounds unreal, only wish we had Noel’s backing vocals.

This is my last comment towards you, andy. Your non stop "detective job" annoys us as hell. I don't care if it's Liam Gallagher or Noel Gallagher or Damon Albarn or whoever might be and if it was live or not, so do others. If somebody thinks it was live, some don't and so it be. It's not a big deal to debate everyday over and over and over... Boring.
