Masterpiece. Fantastic melody and the best studio vocal of Liam ever. Really?

I think it’s good. It sounds Christmassy even if the lyrics don’t have a Christmas theme. Having said that, I don’t think I will listen to it outside of Christmas. So it does it’s job. A one off single with a Christmas sound. I will stick it in a Christmas playlist and play it loads over the next few weeks and then I won’t listen again until next Christmas. If it didn’t have a Christmas sound I’m not sure I’d be a fan, but Christmas songs differ from normal song rules. I wouldn’t listen to any Christmas song if it they weren’t Christmas songs. It makes sense.
I have said Christmas way too many times there. Christmas.

It's OK, I'm sure it will be popular with the masses. The whole Lennon thing just isn't for me.

Masterpiece. Fantastic melody and the best studio vocal of Liam ever. This. Refined melodic line that ranges over various tones, technically the most demanding sung by Liam. I am amazed! will be hard to sing live without out of tune

let's take a moment to appreciate Simon Aldred's work for this song, he's a gifted songwriter.

Just heard the whole song twice. Sounds like an old classic to me. It reminds me of a song by a female singer way back but I can't think what it is. Bit of 'Goodnight' by the Beatles vibe too. Vocals are top notch as usual. Reckon he'll be getting new fans from this.

sounds like a song they wanted to use as a bonus song on the japenese edition of a beady eye album, but then they didn't and now it's a christmas song.

Great vocal performance and nice song but it's not very Liam. If I heard this on the radio and it wasn't Liam singing I'd probably pay little attention and be quite content to never hear the song again

My opinion after several listening: a classic, elegant lovely and moving Xmas tune.
I don't see how can it be compared with a pop/take that tune: there isnt any hook and it's not catchy at all. It's very... Traditional I'd say, in a good way.
The melody is very very very good. Liam vocals are ok but not at his best imo.

We meant it sounds like a generic/mum-friendly Xmas ballad they pump out every year, like Gary Barlow or Robbie William's would release.

Definitely a wintery Christmas type sound. I agree with the earlier post i just tried to quote but couldn't for some reason - It's one I'd play at Xmas time. I mean, I love Lennon's War Is Over but have no time for it in the summer.

It's alright ala the production and everything but as I originally thought it's not my type of song like FWIW or NTIFY.
Find it hard to listen to these songs again after a couple of listens.

Great vocal performance and nice song but it's not very Liam. If I heard this on the radio and it wasn't Liam singing I'd probably pay little attention and be quite content to never hear the song again And yet, there seems little need for Liam at this stage in the game to do exactly what is expected of him. Especially when the whole world has come largely to a standstill and there was the space to do something a little outside the old "watered-down Oasis" zone. What is very Liam about it is that he knew he could pull it off.
