Guessing the Blu Ray will come further down the line. If they were to release it now a lot of people would buy that rather than the CD lowering sales. Liam and management are obviously heavily going for No.1 and 2 position in the same week. Clever marketing. I think No DVD/Bluray for this one. Like MTV Unplugged it has some oasis classics and they need permission from Noel's camp... Good point. Keep forgetting about this. |

I was able to get the signed Unplugged vinyl from Amazon UK but it was a horrible experience, days of dealing with their CS team so I'm not even gonna bother with any signed stuff unless it is from another seller. I recall hearing the official LG stores are terrible as well so I don't know who that leaves :/ And no way am I gonna go the eBay route, freaking savages those resellers. |

I haven't pre-ordered this yet but I will do soon. It would be great if they released it on dvd as well but I doubt that will happen any time soon.

Imagine we end up with just a Knebworth live CD - or DVD without any Oasis songs. Comical.

I agree that it sucks we don't get bluray or at least official HD downloads but from what I gather a lot falls on Liam. He lays off Noel for a spell, Noel compliments LG on his success and Liam goes back to slagging him off on twitter, rinse & repeat.
I'd be a spiteful bastard too.

Doubt Liam cares that much to be honest, he will make most of his money from gigs anyway. Beside Noel will likely sell Oasis rights for mega £££ in 2025 anyway. Then Liam will have no problem with releasing dvds.

On the same day of coyk? Why? They had put on the shelves this release last year because of oasis Knebworth release. Even I think Vinyl&CD were produced and they were ready for pre order&sale. Now there isn't a near window for this release in the Future. Wait a year or two just don't make sense. So I think it's a clever marketing strategy. Push up COYK sales, set up for a race to number 1&2 in charts (which could be an historic moment with a lot of impact in press, radio, tv...) and finally release an album who was destined to end up gathering dust in some warehouse. Now I'd expect soon some news about the next single Hey!!! Stay out of that warehouse. Noel’s AA album is hoarding all the dust!!! |

SO will this be the first time Noel will make some kind of decent money from Liam's solo work? I know he will have made some money from liver performances but i hear thats hardly anything. This time though he'll be down as the songwriter on most the tracks of a record released by Liam. MTV unplugged would be the same would it not?
Both albums are exact same ratio, 50% Oasis. Only difference is DBTR has a few more tracks. In the US, cover songs require a standard, mechanical license -- and the statutory royalty to the writer is 9.1 cents per copy (download or physical). A little different licensing in the UK but I think the royalty is 8.5% of sales.

That live show was really something to watch. It’s such a shame there’s no DVD to accompany this. I’m okay it’s getting a release but it feels almost pointless given how much the visual experience was part of that show.

In my opinion they are products (this, and the MTV unplugged), made for sale on DVD, released only in audio format is a hallucinating waste.
