The woman who got shot was a Q-anon conspiracy theorist, and these people don’t need trump to tell them anything, they find “hidden” massages even in the most obscure things trump has said. It’s a very dangerous cult. Combine that with the neo nazis who were also in attendance then you’ve got the perfect mixture out of esoteric fundamentalists and straight out fascists. In nazi germany there was this term called “Führerkult“ for the die hard Hitler enthusiasts. It’s almost the same with trump. This was his die hard base yesterday |

As sad as it is to see this, the DC National Guard is controlled by the Defense Department, which is under Trump's rule. It took VP Mike Pence to activate them once the situation had gotten out of hand and people had been mortally wounded. It really shows that Trump orchestrated this from top to bottom and that there are some loopholes to be fixed once Biden's administration takes hold. We've seen how the presidency can be manipulated and it's only a matter of time before this happens again in a more subtle and contained way than Trump, especially if we don't get actual reform in this country. Even with Biden coming, the U.S. is about to enter a dark period that will test everyone. We'll get out of the pandemic soon enough but it won't be the end of the country's problems by any means and it's going to take everyone's efforts to get better. No more complacency. That only leads to a situation like I mentioned in the last sentence of the previous paragraph. |

Christ sake, can BLM not spew hatred when this is not white vs black? It is a bunch of Trump sheep being morons. I mean, I don't blame them. If that was them "protesting" like the insurrectors were at the Capitol, then there would've been people dead, tear gassed, hit with rubber bullets, and injured from police resistance & 80-100% of people there arrested, rather than a few people dead, some arrested, and an overall weak response from police. |

Latest news now is that 5 people died, one a 43 year-old police officer who was said to be involved in altercations with the violent mob but no details have been released yet on his cause of death (there are rumors out there, but I won't repeat them until something is officially said). I'm sure there will be more information coming, It's all changing very fast right now! Edit: The story above, though reported by several reputable press organizations, is apparently incorrect. Capitol Police currently say that zero police officers have died but some were hospitalized. Still unclear what has really happened but hope all will recover. |

I was listening to one of the conservative news talk radio stations yesterday talking about all this. They aren't happy with what happened, but they're just as angry with how the media has been portraying people on the right for the last 4+ years (which is obviously not the narrative they should be using for this, but really, we are losing respect for each other mainly on the left).
They aren't removing him. They've even joined/have been promoting the social networks where this was all planned out.

Latest news is that the police officer has now sadly died (earlier he was on life support.) From NBC News:
A U.S. Capitol Police officer has died a day after clashing with a pro-Trump mob at the Capitol.
Officer Brian D. Sicknick was injured while engaging with protesters Wednesday and returned to his division office, where he collapsed, Capitol Police spokeswoman Eva Malecki said. He was taken to a local hospital where he died about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
Sicknick, who joined the Capitol Police department in 2008, is the fifth person to die from Wednesday's violent clash in Washington.
Capitol Police fatally shot an Air Force veteran and ardent Trump supporter who was part of the mob that made it into the building. Three other people died in "medical emergencies" following the riot, officials said.

Your post is totally oblivious to the clear difference between how BLM protesters, even when peaceful, were handled over the summer, and how these white people were literally allowed to take selfies with police, had the gates opened for them, and then stormed the capitol with nary an arrest made. I can barely walk home in my own neighborhood without a cop car following me and yet here are these white people, who arrived announcing their intent (to stop the government and insurrect) storming the capitol. There is very clearly a racial component to this. Edit: And btw this isn't a BLM thing. When this happened, I talked with several black friends who were sickened by the double standard we were all witnessing on television. |
