Don’t need to. Still got my Music magazines 2003/04/05, covered in skinny jean wearing bands. Pete Doherty & Johnny Borrell probably being the most famous at LIVE 8 Hype Park July 2005 Skinny jeans first spread to men's fashion in 2008. This has continued into the 2010s, entering the mainstream fashion in 2011. Since then, they have remained popular and eventually became one of the decade's defining fashion pieces for both men and women. en.m.wikipedia.org › wiki Wikipedia is your source, good one! As I said previously, the BANDs wore them in 2005, not the sheep wearing public.

I remember a few bands wearing them in 2005, specially the ones who had a 70's look (JET comes to my mind), but in terms of fashion I think it was more a 2008 thing. That's when I started wearing them anyway.

Listened to the album last night. The Summer of 2005 was a great time to being an Oasis fan. Band made sold out MSG for the first time, Manchester, great vibe. Somewhere in deep in my heart, I wish they would have called a day after this album. What are your major gripes with DOYS? Noel’s songwriting was much much better during this period than the previous 8 years. Is it the denser production? I have no knowledge about a production. DOYS was the biggest disappointment for me. I only like The Shock of The Lightning and Falling Down. Saw them twice on this tour, same as DBTT tour. Band had no passion, didn't care for each other. DOYS was the beginning of the end for the band.

Easily their worst album, without a shadow of a doubt. Even the 3 singles released are sub par.
DOYS is also a horrible album, but its saved by 3 strong singles, likewise with HC, which is also rescued by a lot of decent B sides.
DBBT is just an abysmal, shoddy album, and almost tarnishes the bands name.

I really like DBTT.
My main criticism is that Lyla is WAY too fucking long. Should have ended at the 4 minute mark. Noel just can't help himself, eh?

I never saw this particular cut of the "Eat Has No Memory" making of DBTT. In this version you see Oasis working on both Boy With The Blues and Stop The Clocks.

Never watched 'The Ear has No Memory' or this but 4:25-4:35 sounds a lot like 'Flick of the Finger' which indeed was recorded by Death in Vegas in Cornwall (as 'Velvet Building'). I may be mistaken though, it maybe Mucky Fingers or something else really obvious I've forgotten!

I'm trying to figure out the guitar solo Gem is playing around the 2:59 mark. Is that Keep The Dream Alive?

I saw the American version when it first came out but now realizing different countries have different cuts of the making of doc. Little goodies sprinkled all over.

Immediately looking down and off camera while scratching the back of his head? Yes. I know that body language isn't always accurate and I'm no expert. But i just thought that's something you'd say looking straight at the person you talking to.

This was on the Lyla DVD (in the UK at least) hence the longer discussion of that track at the end.
Fingers crossed for a decent anniversary edition of this album. There is the finished version of Stop The Clocks that was dropped from the album at the last minute, plus hopefully there are finished / nearly finished versions of The Boy With The Blues and that full-on Let There Be Love. Plus there is so much other stuff from all the other sessions.
They could do a really good job on a re-release if they put a bit of love and effort into it.

Yes, I think it is - just sounding better than what they put on the record, more rock to it, really cool find.

That acoustic guitar loaded Boy with the Blues sounds amazing. DBTT should have been more interesting than what we got which was more hodge podge. A little from here, a little from there, resurrecting some past demos last minute. Heading into the year 2005 I 100% expected Stop The Clocks, Record Machine and Boy With The Blues to be on their new album. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

A little bit, but honestly the drums sound like A Simple Game of Genius, even though that song didn't emerge until a couple years.

That acoustic guitar loaded Boy with the Blues sounds amazing. It does! As opposed to it being an overtly Beatlesque tune, it sounds very trip hop-influenced with a classic rock sheen and aggression that somehow floats in the air.

I am not sure why I have been banging the pots and pans so loudly over the last 15 years that DBTT should have had "Stop The Clocks", "Record Machine" and "Boy With The Blues" on it. The first two are just average to begin with. A lot of that perception might be from my own personal over hyping, or Noel's over hyping or the forum's over hyping. Any way you got it, they are just ok. I do really love "Boy With The Blues". Is it the greatest piece of music ever created? No but it is a top Liam tune. However, they would make the album better overall.

It was supposed to be on DBTT but they pull it off the album cos they couldn't finish the song properly, but they planed to release it as a stand alone single in 2006, sadly they didn't.
