Loved all the clips of the new material from spring 2020. About 3-4 songs. Not sure I’m into complaining about the Internet and social media again. Who knows though. It’s all jump to conclusions at the moment.

Something better happen this week. This teasing campaign is already getting stale.

Clip of “Age of Anxiety” from their live gig tonight. Sounds very promising!!!!! Sounds like New Order in The Hacienda circa 1984.

New single played tonight.......... https://www.reddit.com/r/arcadefire/comments/tefyij/the_lightning_on_tiktok/ First half of the song sounds like Springsteen doing The Killers but the second half euphoria is pure War On Drugs magic.

The live streams were taken down before "Rabbit Hole". I wonder if that is a big song they wanna keep under wraps for a surprise. They also performed "Generation A" which they debuted on Colbert in November 2020.

Album announcement and single in 30 minutes. Looks like Will is out of the band based on new promo images and him not being at either of the gigs this week. Bummer.
UPDATE:
Will is still in the band!! Great!!!!!

UPDATE: Will is still in the band!! Great!!!!! He's on the liner notes for the record and is listen as a member of the band on a poster they're selling so maybe he just needs to be elsewhere right now for reasons that are none of our business.

Unless it’s under a different title (unlikely) it’s not on this indie pandemic opera.

Not bad. Cool second half, first is fine enough. Their weakest lead single, but still enjoyable.

I like it. Sounds more like 'The Suburbs' than 'Everything Now' which is a good thing to me.

Still yet to listen to it. Going to settle down with a cup of tea and some biscuits to listen.
Nigel Godrich is a great choice though. Obviously the Radiohead maestro, but his albums with Travis were my first love in music, and he produced Macca's finest late career album with Chaos & Creation. His albums are not messy - no messy tracklistings, no messy production, always pitch perfect (aside from Hail To The Thief which is a bit bloated).

Hail To The Thief was bloated because the band wanted it large. Nigel was for more concise.

Aged like milk Yeah. Figured something was up when he wasn’t at last nights NYC show since he lives in Brooklyn. Oh well. Solid dude. Seen him solo. Good stuff.
