I'd love it if he brought Round Are Way back. It's easy to sing, everybody loves it as a bit of a guilty pleasure and it would get people bouncing.

I've really enjoyed the watching the videos from the gig which I've downloaded so far and Go Let It Out sounds great. Liam should release this even if it's only an album version and give all the money made to the NHS.

A Facebook post like the one i’m talking can potentially make thousands of pounds, depending on reach and the price of the merch sold and average cart. Not millions but still quite a bit of money with free advertising since the post would be trending among the liam gallagher # during that day. So yes, that was inappropriate. The gig itself was fine and sponsored (paid) by JD and Pretty Green (owned by JD) so to people who think he paid from his own pocket… gullible much. he didnt do it for nothing. But its fine. Anyway. And this new offer right in Time ! WoW coincidence healthservicediscounts.com/retailers/jd-sports-2347Shit this one too, WoW coincidence again ! www.nhsdiscounts.org.uk/prettygreen.comAnd this when jd sports basically saved Liam from going bust when he and his partners owed 17 millions pounds. Many people were fired in the process www.itv.com/news/granada/2019-04-04/liam-gallaghers-pretty-green-bought-by-jd-sportsMoney is always getting back in the pocket one way or another, charity is never 100% charity, but enjoy your ideal world. Biblical. Now you're complaining about NHS discounts? Do you even know what a money grab is? Hint: this isn't one. And please don't use the "hardcore fans" line. Sure, I'm a fan, that's why I'm here. (Why are you here when you say you don't really listen to Oasis anymore?) But I've called Liam out before (though it didn't win me friends) and will any time I believe he's doing something not so great. This is the complete opposite. Yes, of course charity involves a corporate aspect -- these are enormous costs. But there's a difference between defraying costs and making money for yourself. A huge, huge difference. Honestly, Liam could have just fluffed this off if he wanted. He could have said "oh yeah, I'll do it one day" and just started in on his paying gigs. But he did it and he did it first because he made a promise to people. And people were happy. So, don't be a grinch. Let people who sacrificed for others get a happy escape for a couple of hours without having to search for reasons to hate it. p.s. As for JD buying Pretty Green, they aren't in the savior business. They bought it because it was financially advantageous for them to own a valuable brand at a price they liked in financial downturn, like any buyout in the volatile clothing business. Happens every day.

Can’t believe anyone is questioning some form of advertising and sales. Get a grip. This was a great gig for a great cause. Any other artist would of splashed it all over the one show and capital fm, roped in celebrity friends and just done it ‘not for their fame but for a great cause’. BS
well done liam

Review: (I bolded the part andymorris should read, though he'll probably say the NME is getting kickbacks ... ) Liam Gallagher live in London: a life-affirming, era-defining free show for NHS heroes O2 Arena, August 17: the frontman opens his doctor's bag to give the audience what they want, prescribing ‘Supersonic’, ‘Live Forever’ and more ByJordan Bassett 18th August 2021 “Very sophisticated crowd we’ve got here tonight,” Liam Gallagher purrs to an arena full of NHS workers, for whom he’s playing two celebratory gigs free of charge as a thank you for 18 months of vital work throughout the pandemic. “Doctors, nurses, drug dealers. My kind of people!”
Lockdown appears to have been restorative for Gallagher M.D., who’s sporting the kind of feather cut he rocked in Oasis’ early ‘00s ‘Heathen Chemistry’ days, when they’d operate on stages like this without breaking a sweat. He sounds the best he has in years, too, whether he’s roaring through his and Noel’s ‘90s classics ‘Columbia’ and ‘Morning Glory’ or vocally exposed on the sparse and tender solo cut ‘Paper Crown’. Even with Bonehead on guitar and Liam on top form, there’s no mistaking who the real stars of this show are. “I wanna thank you lot for doing what you do,” the frontman drawls at one point, before alluding to nurses’ battle for a 15 per cent pay rise. “Fucking rockstars. I hope you get your wonga!”
It’s a sentiment that Bobby Gillespie expresses during Primal Scream’s trippy earlier set, following Brighton indie rockers Black Honey, who opened the night: “God bless the NHS. We must fight those who want to end it.” Cue a prowl through the anti-capitalist rant ‘Kill All Hippies’ and its seethed refrain “You got the money, I got the soul.” The sense of unity is underlined when Gillespie dedicates blissed-out ‘Screamadelica’ track ‘Higher Than The Sun’ to “Liam and Bonehead” and later shouts out “the people who make it possible”, before leading a chant of “NHS! NHS! NHS!” Liam’s show similarly swings between all-out triumphalism – the kind you’d expect from a pandemic-delayed show designed to honour the best the country has to offer – and moments of introspection, as when he’s framed onscreen in moody black-and-white during the bruised solo ballad ‘Once’. The two modes collide when the camera zooms in on the NHS logo adorning his band’s drumkit for the opening cymbal crash of ‘Supersonic’, drawing another massive roar of appreciation from the crowd. Colossal, gospel singer-backed 2017 solo single ‘Wall of Glass’ crashes in like an old favourite, while Oasis classic ‘Stand By Me’ offers the emotional high-point of a night that’s all about standing together.
He has always been the kind of performer to give a crowd exactly what they want, and tonight Liam graciously sandwiches the solo stuff in between the enormous, era-defining tunes that would unite an arena at the best of times. There is only one other person on the planet who could give you an encore that opens with ‘Supersonic’ and closes with ‘Live Forever’, via ‘Acquiesce’, ‘Go Let It Out’ (his first-ever solo performance of the song) and ‘Roll With It’. And who else would sing the praises of ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ to an arena full of appreciative healthcare workers?
And even after he’s left the stage for a second time, Dr. Gallagher has another prescription up his sleeve. The lights come up, audience members begin to mooch towards the door, and then he returns to the microphone: “We’re gonna do a new song. You’ll fucking love it. It’s ‘Wonderwall’.”
You have not seen joy until you’ve seen thousands of NHS workers leg it back across the O2 Arena, belting out the lyrics to one of the greatest anthems of all time, a song about relying on one another and literally being someone’s saviour. After all this time, Liam wasn’t wrong when he told the audience: “It’s good to see your lovely faces and hear your lovely voices.” This was a life-affirming, era-defining show.

12 Oasis songs, nice. You can tell deep down he’s much happier doing those than the majority of the solo stuff, bar the odd new tune he likes, maybe The River

Few pointers from last night. Liam was a bit subdued, came across a bit arrogant in my opinion (being himself) but to the majority of people who were there and probably haven't seen him before I would imagine it came across badly. Go Let It Out was class, the whistle!! First time me seeing him do WMWN?. Loved that My seats were immense, ended up in row E, but had no-one in front of us at all, so brilliant view As usual you had a few "Oasis Fans" there who acted like utter vaginas. Won't go into it but there's some horrible pricks out there. Put Oasis/Liam fans to shame I did record it, but with the mrs phone, so the quality isn't the best, it's distorted (listening back on the phone). I'll check it later on the laptop How did your recording sound when you checked it? If it sounds good enough I'd love to hear it

Liam is doing a great thing for the doctors, nurses etc. but people here are complaining about the setlist... Also releasing new merch just in time ! What a coincidence ! Not that I care, but this and the Manchester thing before promoting his new single. Just a bit out of place IMHO. Anwyay, good to have live music back. Have not seen the set list yet. Get a life man … move onto an area of life you love and enjoy … coz this is just getting really sad

Saw this headline on twitter: "Liam Gallagher causes jaws to drop at free NHS concert after bosting about his love of illegal drugs"
I'm sure everyone there were SHOCKED. Some 'journalist' trying hard to find something negative to write about Liam this time.

So alright , he mentioned that along with doctors and nurses, drug dealers were his kind of people. Isn’t that quite clearly a joke, putting them all in one sentence? If he’d said “oh yeah, and all the drug dealers come back stage after and we’ll snort lines, cos that’s cool” then that might be worth writing about. Just immediately comes across as people trying to spread bull and trash his reputation.
