Liam is doing a great thing for the doctors, nurses etc. but people here are complaining about the setlist... Also releasing new merch just in time ! What a coincidence ! Not that I care, but this and the Manchester thing before promoting his new single. Just a bit out of place IMHO. Anwyay, good to have live music back. Have not seen the set list yet. Ridiculous comment. You can't actually be this cynical. He has a bunch of paying gigs coming up after 18 months locked up and he added a couple bucket hats to his site ... and you think that's somehow a money grab for a charity gig? How many pink bucket hats do you think he sold at the NHS gig versus what he would have made off ticket sales? Not to mention that people want the merch, they get joy from it. See all kinds of people tweeting about how much easier it was to go work today after having such a great time, Hard to see why anyone would knock that, even if it's not for you.

Liam gave gift cards to nurses, sent food boxes to hospitals and gave this concert. There are lots of things you can validly criticize Liam for, but going after his charity work for no good reason is despicable.

Of course it is a money grab. I'm not talking about the NHS gig itself, or even the merch sold at the gig if there was any. It was all over social media few hours before the gig, like minutes before, what a coincidence. "Oh by the way here is my new hat..." And i'm the cynical one... I just find it a bit weird that is all. It's just good marketing, but it could have waited for the new tour. No need for Liam hardcore fans base to get all upset, it's just a comment.

Some people always have to criticize for everything and nothing.
It was for NHS staff and it was all good. They deserve more than anyone else.

Missing the point here im not talking about the gig, but about the Facebook video post promoting all new merch before the gig started. Its like surfing on the pandemic.

He's starting a run of shows. He's obviously gonna be promoting new merch surely. Don't think he can justifiably be criticised for this

Few pointers from last night. Liam was a bit subdued, came across a bit arrogant in my opinion (being himself) but to the majority of people who were there and probably haven't seen him before I would imagine it came across badly. Go Let It Out was class, the whistle!! First time me seeing him do WMWN?. Loved that My seats were immense, ended up in row E, but had no-one in front of us at all, so brilliant view As usual you had a few "Oasis Fans" there who acted like utter vaginas. Won't go into it but there's some horrible pricks out there. Put Oasis/Liam fans to shame I did record it, but with the mrs phone, so the quality isn't the best, it's distorted (listening back on the phone). I'll check it later on the laptop Oh dear, doesn’t sound good about the horrible pricks, hope nothing too bad for ya Nothing happened to me mate, but we witnessed a fucking horrible prick being a complete and utter twat to a woman and her special needs teenager. Geting physical with the mother. Shocking behaviour

Pathetic really. Glad you have a superb time..what a gig!

Prove that it is. He can’t prove it. I don’t think that it make sense money wise. Liam paid for the big venue, transportation of their equipment and his band crew etc like tens of thousands pounds, didn’t make any money on tickets. And all of that to sell a handful of his merch? Liam is gonna headline R&L in a week(hopefully, you never know nowadays), and others big festivals after that. It makes sense to start selling his new merchandise now when his fans are preparing to go there...

A Facebook post like the one i’m talking can potentially make thousands of pounds, depending on reach and the price of the merch sold and average cart. Not millions but still quite a bit of money with free advertising since the post would be trending among the liam gallagher # during that day. So yes, that was inappropriate. The gig itself was fine and sponsored (paid) by JD and Pretty Green (owned by JD) so to people who think he paid from his own pocket… gullible much. he didnt do it for nothing. But its fine. Anyway. And this new offer right in Time ! WoW coincidence healthservicediscounts.com/retailers/jd-sports-2347Shit this one too, WoW coincidence again ! www.nhsdiscounts.org.uk/prettygreen.comAnd this when jd sports basically saved Liam from going bust when he and his partners owed 17 millions pounds. Many people were fired in the process www.itv.com/news/granada/2019-04-04/liam-gallaghers-pretty-green-bought-by-jd-sportsMoney is always getting back in the pocket one way or another, charity is never 100% charity, but enjoy your ideal world. Biblical. your definitely right - I'm pretty sure that Liam did everything with his heart and wanted to thank the nhs people, but for the companies behind him (Warner, Pretty Green, etc.) it was a perfect marketing thing.

Biblical. Do you know for sure that PG covered all the costs? I doubt it. Partially most likely, it’s not Adidas. PG is struggling financially Idk why you posted all this PG links, we are not talking about PG motives. They did what sponsors do, promoted themselves in exchange for some help with covering costs. Don’t try to change the subject pls Anyway I found out that this charity gig was such a lucrative deal that Liam’s agent launched a fundraising campaign to raise 10k£ because he wanted to help to cover some of costs for the gig and asked his friends to donate www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/alex-hardeeIt seems that it was collective effort of Liam and his team to organize this charity gig, that was very nice of them Dixi

It was sponsored by these companies , it’s a charity event sponsor equals funding for the designated charity , it was a free gig . They’ve raised money etc for a good cause . All events like that have sponsors , luckily enough Liam has jd and pretty green behind him. Merchandise will be onstage for his upcoming festival slots with delivery times etc he’s put them out a week early . From what I gather pretty green as always done alright financially and is still doing well .

For me best song of the night was The River again, followed by WMWN? I’ve said it in previous posts, but The River should be played at every gig he does; it’s an absolute monster live.
