Not sure… It was clear that Noel didn’t like Matt posting pics on his Patreon of Noel (and Anais) at Abbey Road without permission. Then apparently Noel sent Matt an angry message accusing him of ordering a takeaway at his expense which Matt said he didn’t even do. All a bit strange and as we all know, Noel can be well precious and hold grudges over really minor things so in reality, it could be anything really…. thanks for keeping us up to date. Strange. And I love Noel but he does sadly hold a grudge. Let’s hope they work it out. Noel can be weird, strange and bizarre. Remember when he wanted “Force of Nature” to be the lead single off HC? Holy shit that would have been baaaaaaaaad. |

There was an interview around the time of HC where Liam said Noel sang it in the end because while he could do it in the studio, he wouldn't be able to do it live, so it was better to give it to Noel. I think for 00s Liam that was probably true - keep in mind "stash/cash" is the name note as "hey, stay young", which... would have been a stretch. |

That Matt Morgan bloke seems like a proper mug anyway. No loss for Noel if he gets rid off "friends" like him. It's the sort of people Liam thinking of when he talks about annoying folks surrounding Noel.

Virtually everyone else Noel hangs out with is ‘famous’ and a lot of them clearly out of touch with ‘normal life’. Matt is just a regular guy trying to make a living… |

Matt is a nice fella and I don't see any reasons for you to be so harsh with him
Noel probably didn't want the pics to be released because there are official ones that have been taken, and also he seems like the kind of person that would like to be asked before doing it
Also, if I had to take a guess, they will be fine
Not sure he'll be on any time soon tho, HFB have been rehearsing and they're off on tour in a few days

It’s one thing for Noel to take over on vocals for a song that by that point was a few years old. It’s another for him to do live vocals for something that was just recorded. It’s too much of a whiplash imo and I can see why they opted for consistency rather than a situation that might have left Liam a tad embarrassed. |

I found an article in The Guardian about the collab but it's not in there. Was that in an AMA or something? He wrote it in a Facebook comment in Aug 2018. He is genuinely a good friend of Noel's, they touch upon their friendship over the years from time to time, plus he's one of the few people who can challenge him on some of the contradictory things he says and not piss him off. They've been mates for years so I don't understand this forums problem with him. If its to do with Russell Brand that's fair enough, but from the sounds of things they've both distanced themselves from him since he's become a clickbait sensationalist. Matt however a lovely bloke. |

Was that in an AMA or something? “ Seriously tho I did come in with 3 pages of lyrics totallly buzzin on this track, having not slept & worked all night ready for nexts day session ( It had taken 6 months to write this in secret & get him to the table on it - he’d resisted for several weeks when we first played it to him - ME ‘ if you can’t hear that this is great I give up ‘ him ( finally ) ‘ oh it’s great and I’m great so I’ll write a song ‘ ) BINGO ! for BRIAN AND I this track was full of attitude , stonking fuckin beegees strutting round LA nightlife and seediness tripping outta limos downtown ... he could do it ‘ she must be one of us ‘ was the proof ..Brian and I were buzzin on it ... including the line I was singing ‘ some kinda aphrodisiac ‘ in a descending deep multitracked part ( which he kept in part ) he baulked at such sexiness however preferring ‘ kids on crack ‘ it was all good though until .... he status quo’d the fucker rather than credit its co creators .... his loss his dross but a great track ruined undoubtedly” |

Got to say i am really shocked by the instant assumptions that Noel is pissed off and indeed the one to call this and that whilst Matt Morgan is this lovely bloke.
Obviously he isn't here to reply to this so i won't go into too much detail, but when i once replied to Matt Morgan's instagram story asking something about the podcast he made a couple of very personal jokes about things on my instagram that came across as actually quite nasty. Like i said i won't go into any details but i'm shocked he has come across as a nice bloke. In fact after he made that joke i thought he was very reminiscent of Noel a couple of years ago when he just become this self righteous bully about everyone.

I've listened to hours of Matt's content over the years, with Russell and Noel, and he's always came across as a grounded and nice person. Everyone can make jokes that come off wrong or have bad days, if I was a famous person with people interacting with me who I didn't know every day then I reckon at least one of out every hundred interactions would end with me stabbing them in the eye with a pen. I don't know how any of them do it.
Also, it should be remembered that even if they are distant right now, it could just be a normal disagreement with neither being an unpleasant person. I'm sure they'll be talking again at some point.

I’d completely forgotten about that tune. Sounds like there could be an AA version!? Given he’s been doing Dylan covers recently maybe we’ll get the straight version as a b-side at some point? |
