The Bends is the best Radiohead album by far

Oh god, where to begin
Firstly, The 1975 are slowly becoming my favourite band. And I am not ashamed because I'm enjoying it immensely. Despite public opinion I think they are musical geniuses. I have a playlist full with 40 (yep, 40) of my favourite songs by them, and even then that's only my favourites.
Secondly, I really don't like the Rolling Stones, no matter how much or how hard I try. Same goes for Bob Dylan. I simply don't enjoy their music, despite being right into the genres of both.
Thirdly, I am enjoying both the solo music of Liam and Noel Gallagher. Something which - on this forum - seems to be becoming less and less popular..
And last but not least, and importantly, I believe all music is subjective, despite chart positions, number of downloads, etc. So as a result, this thread - however enjoyable and interesting - is moot.
Edit - Posted on this thread before looking at the other replies, surprised and pleased to see people with the same opinions as me

This is my Stone Roses debut: 1. I Wanna Be Adored 2. She Bangs the Drums 3. Waterfall 4. Fool's Gold 5. Bye Bye Bad Man 6. Sally Cinnamon 7. Made of Stone 8. Shoot You Down 9. This is the One 10. I Am the Resurrection Never had anything but love for Bye Bye Bad Man. Great tune. ...And this is mine: 1. I wanna be adored
2. Sally Cinnamnon
3. She bangs the drums
4. Elephant stone
5. Waterfall
6. The hardest thing
7. Going down
8. (Song for my) Sugar spun sister
9. Made of stone
10. Mersey paradise
11. This is the one
12. Where angels play
13. I am the resurrection (short version)
That I prefer I am the resurrection without the whole jam section is probably an unpopular music opinion in itself.
Here's how I rank the tracks I don't care for on the album (the #1 being the song I like the least):
1. Don't stop 2. Bye bye badman 3. Shoot you down 4. Elizabeth my dear

- Bruce Springsteen is very cheesy with his cheesy dance moves and singing cheesy american melodramas, Streets of Philadelfia is great indeed with its haunting keyboards and drum loops, he should have follow this direction. There's supposed to be a hip-hop inspired album in the vaults from that very period that Streets of Philadelphia is part of.

Why Me? Why Not. is an okay album. It's really not anything to write home about, minus One of Us, Gone, Once, The River, and Misunderstood. Honest to God, a lot of the songs have faded from my mind besides those and Shockwave, which isn't too bad but the "Hey" part and everything passed that in the chorus just sounds bleh and cheap. As You Were is better and more varied and what I hope Liam goes back to.
Much of Revolver is decent. The innovations they did propped up some of the mediocre album tracks and Tomorrow Never Knows as the closer, combined with the album artwork, really props up the album as well.

Love you to and Here, There and Everywhere are pretty mediocre, but it's a great album.

Ok... This thread has gone to far. Hole are not better than Nirvana. Ah, but you miss the point of this thread, and as a result - music itself. Like food, music is a magic place where all that matters is your own opinion. There is no right and wrong. You could love Nickleback and hate the Beatles, but you aren't wrong to do so, you simply have different tastes. The moment this changes, we are all fucked. If you judge others based on your own opinions, it says more about you, than them.

Oh I have one more, related to this board. Chasing Yesterday is by far my favourite Noel solo album. I think its better than more than half of Oasis albums, in fact to me it beats every Gallagher album post-1997. Also, that tour 2015/2016 was IMO his best aswell, in terms of setlist and musically. In my opinion of course, but I stand by it rigidly Great thread btw matt

Saying that Slide Away is overrated is not a funny joke.

It is perpetually overrated. It is a really nice love song, but nothing terribly special. None of the lyrics are very good. It has a nice melody though. Good tune.

Curious, what tracks do you consider mediocre on Revolver ? Love You To and I Want To Tell You can be swapped for Rain and Paperback Writer, but I do enjoy Love You To. Rain at the least should've been on there, was just too good to be a B-side. George's stronger contributions were still yet to come at this point and it seemed strange he had three songs on here.

I’ve never been a big fan of “Yesterday” by The Beatles. It’s ok but not really a go to song for me. I’d much rather listen to so many more. Lennon use to say nobody is going to be in a bar in Spain and want to hear “I Am The Walrus” over “Yesterday”. Yes John. Yes we do!!!
