I like the beat and instrumental elements of the song, but I'm having trouble digesting Noel's vocals nowadays.

Takes a while to get going, but that middle section is gorgeous. Nice track.

Right, here's what I reckon for the EP playlist, then: 1. Come On Outside (surely can't open with anything else) 2. Black Star Dancing 3. This Is The Place 4. Rattling Rose 5. Blue Moon Rising 6. A Dream Is All I Need To Get By 7. Evil Flower 8. Wandering Star 9. Sail On I had BLUE MOON RISING and RATTLING ROSE swapped around on my playlist otherwise it was almost identical. Actually I think your version might flow better than mine as RATTLING ROSE breaks up having three "dance" tracks in a row. I haven't slotted COME IN OUTSIDE anywhere yet but I wouldn't have thought of it as an opener - will wait and see what it sounds like. If it's similar to the demo I'd be more inclined to slot it in before EVIL FLOWER. Fair dos! No right or wrong obvs! Yeh I like the idea of having RR in to split up the dance tracks, though it could easily be switched with Dream as well. Dunno, I always thought of Come On Outside as being a blistering way to open an album. But we'll wait and see!

I like it a lot. I do wish it was a bit longer too.

Good song, but far too short. I find it funny that the same guy who wrote BHN now has an issue with making songs too short because there's a couple songs on these EPs that could be longer than they are but aren't.
Nonetheless, it's nice to see Noel continuing to push the sound out further and this is another good step. I'll be curious to hear what Come on Outside will sound like and if it has more of an electronic influence than what we've heard or if it's still that gritty blues-influenced, gospel-tinged apocalyptic rock song that we've had for years.

For the most part, since 2017, his vocals and melodies are flat and emotionless, in my opinion. It would’ve been unimaginable for me to say this prior to 2017, but I’ve only liked three songs in this entire era, with most of it being what I consider to be absolute shit.

I'd like to hear more emotion in Noel's vocals too.

Very nice vibe and melody. By far Noels best cosmic pop tune. That genre has enormous potential when he actually puts effort into the songs. Great song, 8/10.

“How it manages to combine the influences of Metallica, the Jesters Of Malice, Mantovani, Robinson Crusoe as well as Bob Marley AND The Wailers is literally beyond me,” Gallagher says in a statement.
Another hilariously (or infuriatingly) inaccurate description of a song by Noel. A compilation of these might make a humorous book.

Aye, pretty sure he does it entirely on purpose The 'Stone Roses' meets 'Dr. John' description of Evil Flower was, actually, pretty accurate though

The refrain/chorus bit really is great. Shame it only gets sung twice.

Fairplay to Noel for doing what he enjoys but yet again for me, there's hardly any melody there. It's sad that he's more interested these days in making it sound electronic/cosmic than having a great melody and chorus. Not for me I'm afraid. Interested on what you think of this, mate? Looking forward to hearing this in good quality, sounds promising.

Yeah, I prefer it to Moon. Never been convinced by that album. However, in the days of streaming and playlists I think I prefer getting drip-fed over a year and then put the songs into one whole playlist at the end. This is his 4th album for me, albeit released over three EPs.

The BMR album cover on spotify comes up as the far superior WS art. I wonder why.
