Interested on what you think of this, mate? Looking forward to hearing this in good quality, sounds promising. Yeah I've limited myself to just the three listens because of the quality, really. Really dig it though. Looking forward to seeing it live at Brixton. They always pretty much to the record (which I do think is great though would be interesting to see if they can add a bit more to this).

Also, have definitely switched stuff round on the playlist now...
1. Come On Outside [tbc] 2. Black Star Dancing 3. TITP 4. Dream... 5. Blue Moon Rising 6. Rattling Rose 7. Evil Flower 8. Wandering Star 9. Sail On
I'm all for the 'ballad' song to be at 3 normally, but think Wandering Star would jar any earlier on and I like the idea of Evil Flower kind of splitting the album.
FFS Noel, why not have given us another song to round it up to 10. Stingy fucker.

Does he think this stuff is somehow less derivative than what he wrote for Oasis?
I listened to all the EP stuff in a row this morning. Can't imagine I'll do so again.

Think I’m ready for Noel to disappear for a while now and come back with something new down the line, sadly getting very little excitement from his output these days, he’s earned the break.

Call me a pedant if you want, but why the fook is there a 7” mix of Blue Moon Rising when the only physical format it is being released on is 12 inches in diameter?
Amateurs.

First listen, love it. Verses take a little long, but the chorus and instrumental are amazing, by far the best of the three A-sides. I still prefer the energy of TITP, but as far as melody goes, this is pretty great. Not as good as Wandering Star though.

Just listened to it once so far: more of that electronic stuff I din't dig so far. I'll give it another listen someday but I don't feel any rush to be honest...
I'm much more looking forward to hearing "Come on outside" actually.

The chorus is up there with some of the best things he has done during this cycle and I find myself going back to the song just for it, it's truly fucking great, it's been stuck in my head since the song came out. The rest of the song does not match it though. A solid 7.5.

Reminds me of the concept from the first album's videos. A pity he didn't keep that concept going with every video he released. We'd have a feature length film to string together by now. Could have been fun with the rest of this current lineup. Missing them in this video. --- Waiting for the other two versions to make up my mind on where I'm going to stick BMR. Right now all the electronic stuff is at the 2nd half on my playlist. COO might go before Rattling Rose. And I've called it "In another world we fly away". 1. Wandering Star 2. Rattling Rose 3. A Dream Is All I Need To Get By 4. Sail On 5. This Is The Place 6. Black Star Dancing - Reflex Revision 7. Evil Flower - Reflex Revision

I know I’m definitely in a very very small minority but I much prefer songs like Black Star Dancing, This Is The Place and Blue Moon Rising over material like Dream On, God Help Us All and The Dying of the Light.

Yeah, I prefer it to Moon. Never been convinced by that album. However, in the days of streaming and playlists I think I prefer getting drip-fed over a year and then put the songs into one whole playlist at the end. This is his 4th album for me, albeit released over three EPs. Me too. But as an experiment I'm also going to pretend these 9 songs are the bonus tracks to singles lifted off WHO BUILT THE MOON. Next job - slot those 9 songs back into the WHO BUILT THE MOON album!

I preferred the time I got beaten up by 5 guys for no reason to Dream On but disagree on the other songs mentioned.

I'm in that minority with you, the only "old" thing I want to hear is a finished version of don't stop, apart from that I'd prefer more of the "new" please

Don't know if anyone has caught it yet, but the audio for the track is already up on YouTube as well. YouTube definitely messed up the artwork part, but you take what you can get.

I know I’m definitely in a very very small minority but I much prefer songs like Black Star Dancing, This Is The Place and Blue Moon Rising over material like Dream On, God Help Us All and The Dying of the Light. Personally I love both and the fact that it's the same person who's done them. I don't yearn for either, really. I'm just glad he's putting out music and thankfully I like it all / it's to my taste. Don't think it's without faults but, y'know, it's still good. I love Dream On and The Dying of the Light etc, but he's done it. If I want to listen to them I can do. So I don't see the issue with the new stuff. It's good to have a variety.

Here are the full and complete lyrics for anyone curious.
[Lyrics]:
When the night is falling And the land is cold And that secret you found in your pocket Will remain untold
There's a storm out on the horizon And it's coming our way By the light of the blue moon rising Should we just run away?
Well I'll meet you down on the corner Where our hopes and dreams were sold By the forewind and the loner On the streets we paved with gold
The deeper that you get The more that you'll regret living on the edge of the night But the blazing sunset in your eyes Means more to me than life 'Cause you make me feel electric Beauty and truth is hard to find To sum up the bleeding And some of us needing to find a way
'Cause you make me feel electric Beauty and truth is hard to find To sum up the bleeding And some of us needing to find a way
It's getting closer, can you feel it? I'm glad that I've found you just in time To sum up the bleeding And some of us needing to find a way
Now the night has fallen And the land is cold But that secret you found in your pocket To remain untold

The lyrics focus around the beauty of a blue moon rising, the beauty of it bleeds and therefore, in truths, some of us need to find our truths and to do that, we need to find it our own way.
Genius.com reads, "Some of us bleeding and some of us needing to find a way"
My interpretation reads, "'Cause you make me feel electric, beauty and truth is hard to find. To sum up the bleeding and some us of needing to find a way." Makes much more sense when you think of the moon being the main focus, and it might just be another way to interpret Noel's love for Man City, if there is meaning behind the lyrics pertaining to his love for the team.
Also, if you listen closely to the audio, nowhere in the track do I hear "Us" where "Up" is said.
Edit: I went in and edited the lyrics over at genius.com
