The video made me quite emotional seeing them "together" one more time. My brother's partner works for Peter Jackson's studio and he said they are currently remastering all the Beatles movies. Hopefully that includes Anthology and we get remixes of the 90s singles.

The personalized video actually makes me like the song more. Horrid artwork yesterday was bringing me down, but it's much sweeter a song now to my ears. The artwork is brutal. It’s just like that Avatar SNL skit. No Beatles logo? Wild. Yes truly attrocious

Bring on the remixes of pre Revolver material, now that's what will make me excited. While Now and Then is fine the potential shown on the Revolver newest mix, Get Back and the new mix of Love Me Do makes me want to hear all the material in this new way.

If Now & Then goes to the top of the chart, will 1 have to be reissued with it on?

If Now & Then goes to the top of the chart, will 1 have to be reissued with it on? The 1 compilation pretty much made up their own rules with which songs to count or discount so anything goes. Songs like Please Pleaese Me, Strawberry Fields, I Am The Walrus and For You Blue got shafted via loop holes the Beatles decided to use to keep the comp at a single CD.

I think the Here, There and Everywhere sample is the backing vocals at 1:48 in now and then. What would be the Eleanor Rigby one?

They still got Watching Rainbows, Madman, Suzy Parker and Commonwealth to name but a few. Granted none of these feature all 4 Beatles but who cares? Neither did half of the white album.

Shit. Early reports from people who got their blue album early says Giles did fumble the ending of Walrus. Fuck!

This is fantastic. His voice is so clear. I'm sure they're re-releasing it and Real Love soon with better audio.

AI (really just machine learning networks) were used to get a better vocal extraction from John's home demos, and they cleaned up the tape audio. Nothing like audio conversion ML like those A.I. covers are being used.

"Free as a Bird (2015 Mix)" (Lennon/McCartney/Harrison/Richard Starkey) Filmed for the premiere (and aired as a part) of the documentary The Beatles Anthology on 19 November 1995. The video uses a new mix of the song, prepared for this release, which cleans up Lennon's vocal further, and uses a different take of Harrison's vocal phrase, replacing the lyric "whatever happened to the life that we once knew" with "whatever happened to the love that we once knew" "Real Love (2015 Mix)" (Lennon) Filmed originally for The Beatles Anthology but later used as a part of the 2003 DVD reissue of the documentary; a different video was used for the second instalment of the documentary on 22 November 1995. The video uses a new mix of the song, prepared for this release, which cleans up Lennon's vocal further, and reinstates several deleted elements originally recorded in 1995, such as lead guitar phrases and drum fills, as well as making the harpsichord and harmonium more prominent in the mix

You can tell with the end of the song on the reprise, the Lennon quote is forwards instead of backwards like on the original mix. There's not much of a difference besides those little details. Real Love sounded slightly better, but not much.

A friend sent me the new mixes last night and I really don't see the point. They seem really rushed and there's so much stuff that was buried (with good reason) that's suddenly REALLY LOUD.
A quick run-down-
Someone goes "Come on" at the end of "Twist And Shout" after Paul's "YEAAAAAAH!" The radio flicking about at the end of "I Am The Walrus" is REALLY LOUD and features a load of extra stuff including snatches of an orchestra. Also there's some really loud panting in "I Am The Walrus" after the "see how they run" line. It's not in time and weirdly sounds like the panting from "Mr Blue Sky" ("running down the avenue...") "Norwegian Wood" has some thigh-slapping at the end of the "I told her I didn't and crawled off to sleep in the bath" section Someone (probably Paul) is SCREAMING during the second-half of the guitar solo in "Old Brown Shoe" The hi-hat on "Nowhere Man" really sticks out like a sore thumb now. In "Magical Mystery Tour" there seems to be a few drum overdubs that at the time would've been faded up and down as and when but Martin Jr has just left them all up. The infamous "FUCKINELL!" on "Hey Jude" is clearer than it's ever been.
I'm never going to listen to these mixes again as I've got all the original albums and the original Red and Blue collections as well as countless American albums and compilations...
