I wish Nas could've been a part of it. I know he says he's glad he's packed it in, but him and Fletch did so much to drag English cricket of it's arse. After being booed after the NZ series in '99 t seems a shame he's watching the culmination of all that work from the sidelines.

I've actually developed a real respect for Australia this series, I used to call them the Man Utd of cricket, and believe me, I really, really hate Man Utd.
But I think this battle has brought out the best in them. They've shown real desire and sportsmanship. Lee and Warne especially have been a credit to their country.
From now on I'll be hoping Aus win until they play England again, and I never thought I'd say that.

the best thing about the series was (& i can say this now we've won!) that it was fought out by 2 teams who are alomost deffinately the 2 best teams in their sport at the minute it went all the way and the best team won!

at the start of the series i had very little respect for english cricket...now, through the quality and class of flintoff and strauss, i rate them as easily the best team to play australia in maybe 20 years....
true its a great achievment to win the ashes back after been deprived of them for sooooo long, the real challenge for england will be retaining them in australia. if they can do that they will truely be a great side.
the best thing about this series from an aussie point of view is that it took a f*ckin OUTSTANDING performance from england (from the 2nd test on) to beat us.
congratulations england, but we will be back! ;D

I was supposed to be in school as well but there was no way I was going to miss the parade. I'd wanted to get to one of the matches all summer but never managed to get tickets so it was great to see all the players today
