i am confident australia can retain the ashes... alot of the dodgy decisions...martyns lbw x 2, katich lbw etc have gone against them...when the luck levels out australia may well get back on top. luck is a massive factor in cricket.many will say if u r good enuff u make ur own luck....and england have been outstanding.but i honestly believe australia can come back...we will see next week... hey this is my 100th post....itd help if an Australian besides me and Ponting would rack up a century.... ;D ba da boom...

Talk here is that Hayden's gonna be dropped for Hussey. Why on earth Hussey wasn't in from that start I'll never know - not complaining though

they say about the aussie test team... its harder to get out of than into... hayden and martyn have been on chances for nearly 2 seasons....
there have been some DODGY decisions.... u guys won the 2nd test by 2 runs... i recall simon jones being hit on the full infront of middle and off, given not out, and then england going on to score another 25 runs for the last wicket....

Well we've had a few dodgy ones this series as well, and it's a drop in the ocean compared to the amount of bad decisions we've had over the years. It's amazing how the dominant team seems to get the rub of the green. You lot are just finding out what it's been like to be english for the past 15 years. ;D

i wont be convinced of english "dominance" untill firstly they win the ashes from us....
then they should retain them on OUR home soil....that is a true indication of cricketing dominance.....
i agree its time for hussey, haddin and bracken to be given a run...youthful exuberance to show the way
and by the way....Kato said...
"F*cking cheating C*nt" refering to Aleem Dar and that woeful decision....
we might be in some trouble....but we will keep fighting...as brett lee has done all series...hats off to the lad.... ;D

You should worry about 2007. By then you'll be trying to rebuild a squad virtually from scratch after all the older players move on. You'll almost certainly be without two of the best bowlers ever. No matter who comes through, Australia will never be the same when McGrath and Warne move on. Whereas as we can concievably go there with the same squad of players, with another two years of touring behind them. No matter what happens at The Oval, I'm certain the Ashes will be won back or retained in 2007.

So Jones is out. Big blow that. Personally I would've gone with experience to cover it. Either Caddick or Cork, probably Cork. He'd fit perfectly with the intensity and work ethic England have built up.
Still not convinced by Andersen, he's far too erratic for a game like this. I'd got for Collingwood cos he should be more economical than Andersen.

I certainly hope we don't lose but England are doing really badly. It's up to the rain to help a few quick wickets tomorrow and we're back in the game. but i hope it rains all day.
