Surely I can't be the only one who still listens to the album constantly? No you're not as like I said earlier in this thread that I'm still listening to it all the time.

Itās weird but I havenāt felt inclined to listen to the album at all since the initial couple of weeks after release. Me too. I guess it says a lot about quality of the album.

Yeah, same.
Still think it's good but not something that great that has me revisiting so quickly.
Maybe later on in the year.

I donāt dislike the album. I have it in my cd player in the car on my way to work. Whatās missing this time around for me though are those go-to songs that you feel like you need to hear nearly every day. AYW and WM?WN. both have two or three tunes that Iāll always stick on. I find myself skipping more songs too. I think the production on Liam's voice is the worst itās ever been. The level of distortion on it is unnecessary and makes it sound even more nasally!
Everything seems to be pointing towards a change of producer and writing team for the 4th album. If we do get another record at all.

Yes for me it's still good but I generally now listen to EE, DITD, JOKER, WAVE and DGHW and not alot else. Havent though..OMG i need to listen to this that much not it has been around a while. solid though.

I think its his best, most replayable, and most "listen from start to finish" album he's done.
And in my opinion, its the highest quality album he's done since BHN in 1997. Even 2 months later I still feel that way.

Still like listening to the album, iād have liked to have heard more of the tracks played live, ideally like they did on Later ā¦.with Jools Holland, really enjoyed that and thought they sounded great.
My favourite track at the moment is Worlds in need. Apparently written just by Liam. Really like the string arrangement, seems to me to have a cowboy vibe and then in the outro more Middle Eastern. Some additional percussion not just normal drums, a vibra slap, shaker and hand claps, Liam can be seen here:
Very subtle harmonica parts and the acoustic solo add to that western cowboy vibe again. Upbeat going into the chorus. Clearly influenced by Bo Didley and The Whoās Magic Bus, in terms of the shaker, percussion and acoustic guitar.
Love the live version too Liam performed for ālater ā¦with Jools Hollandā.

I must admit though that I haven't listened to the Jools Holland version much or both of the other songs which Liam and his band did.

I must admit though that I haven't listened to the Jools Holland version much or both of the other songs which Liam and his band did. I think they performed all three songs really well. The band sound great together live. I have no idea who is behind the sound and mixing quality of that performance, itās really good. I donāt think they played worlds in need at Knebwworth or any of the other shows which is a shame.

Yeah, they did perform all three songs which they did on Jools Holland well and as for World's In Need Liam should definitely keep playing it live but hopefully he'll add it to his set list again at some point soon.

Finally! a little of promotion for the album. They should release some videos and physical releases. ItĀ“s a great album and it should not be forgotten so soon. I think itĀ“s the album with less promotion post-release ever by a gallagher. Literally zero promotion after first week!

Cool artwork. Liam Gallagher DID (reading down), and an image from Knebworth, very clever!

I do still listen to the album sometimes and I like it well enough but I think it's definitely my least favourite of his solo albums. It's the most interesting to listen to, plus Everythings Electirc, Better Days and Diamond In The Dark are all up there with my favourite solo tracks, but I just think the songwriting is a little bit lightweight and weak over all. Too Good For Giving Up got old real fast, More Power and Worlds In Need are nice but nothing special and the rest is very mediocre and forgettable and all sound like filler to me. The bonus tracks are good and I have a soft spot for I'm Free eventhough I recognize that it's not a great song.
To give it more credit it does sound more cohesive and like a band actually collaborated together to make a record over the other two which are more like two good collections of songs, it's got it's own sound and vibe, very Beady Eye-esque. The other two are great solo albums, CYK sounds to me like the best album Beady Eye never made. I think another single quality song on there instead of Not Meant To Be or Don't Go Halfway and a better closing track would have put it at least on par with the other two for me.
