I think that it's very hard to predict when we will get new albums from both Noel and Liam because nobody knows how long it will be before Covid is under control once and for all. Besides I think it's always going to be around now anyway and we've just got to learn to live with it vaccine or not. Well, they’ve got madly screaming happy crowds in the stadiums at the Australian Open right now, all because they decided not to live with the virus. Even with all that’s been royally screwed up in multiple countries that could have lost far fewer lives, there are ways Covid-19 can be a non-factor in human activity within a few years. The strategies exist. Just a matter of will, priorities and competence (granted, that's the hard stuff). But really, humanity got a stroke of luck. There are ways out of this mess and no need at all to let the virus continue to cause huge harms to life and joy. Indeed, but lame-ass politics in Europe can't get themselves together to push hard for it and get this under control and mostly over within 2-3 months. I was lucky being based for work in Thailand in 2020, we had the best life there after a short, hard lockdown. On Liam notes: It probably depends on how COVID evolves, I'd reckon that the recording is likely done by mid-year the latest, then it's just a question if they push it out right away and go on tour in fall (if possible) or if it remains in the shelves due to touring not possible yet.

I'm surprise! Does anybody in this Forum believe that new music is only released to have a reason to go on tour? I always thought it has Something to do with creativity and good ideas. For example, I will Release a new Song tomorrow without ever playing live!

Well, in Australia it's upto them if they want to ignore the virus which is a bit stupid to do so in my opinion. In the future things can only get better but I still think that it won't change the fact that Covid will always be around even when it's under control once and for all.

For example, I will Release a new Song tomorrow without ever playing live! I think that Liam could well get the new album finished this year at some point depending on how things go with Covid of course. And, then they'll just keep the album under wraps for a while until Liam can release it and of course tour the album. I think that's the more sensible thing to do as there's no way that bands and artists can tour at the moment.

For example, I will Release a new Song tomorrow without ever playing live! Well If it's your source of income and streaming services are as WE know, not that a big Moneymaker... Touring, selling Merch and get royalities while playing your songs is the easiest way of earning Money. Sure Liam does earn something butthe whole Crew/band need that for a living too. And If he releases Something without touring it won't sell as well as it could I think. A one of Christmas Special single maybe has the chance but a whole album? Guess not.

Yeah, I fully agree with you and that's why I said yesterday that even if Liam manages to finish his new album sometime this year he's not going to release it any time soon. Like I've already said that it's hard to predict just when both Noel and Liam will be able to release their new albums.

Not the place to continue this conversation in depth but just to quickly clear up, Australia is not ignoring the virus nor being stupid. Anything but. They've worked hard to keep numbers manageable enough to contract trace new cases and can safely have screaming ecstatic crowds because of that (with occasional pauses.) Australia has had fewer deaths in the entire pandemic than England currently has every single damned day. Yes, the world always will be full of seasonal coronaviruses including Covid-19. But the worry is only whether they are causing mass harm (and rapidly evolving to be more harmful). That's the part we can control and the faster all nations work towards that together, the faster everything we lost this last year, including worldwide gigs from Liam, will come back everywhere. All doable but not a done deal if people let governments get away with not doing enough.

I wonder if Liam is still in the studio or if he's had to take a break again because of obvious reasons. I don't think that he's mentioned anymore about it since the other week.

It's still great news though even if we already knew that Liam's third album was in the works.

I think the most realistic timeframe for his 3rd album would most likely be 2022. I would be pleasantly suprised if it released this year but I doubt that.

No reason to rush until he knows he can get a full blown tour going. Would be great to play a new one on perhaps a festival this year. Though let's be honest...chances are pretty much zero. Still rate his Brixton gig and Glastonbury 2017 gigs as my favs...with the splash of new tunes.

I'm more optimistic than most that the festivals will take place but I think if he wants some new material for them at most it would just be a single. Hope I'm wrong on that though.

Yep single or cover maybe? I would love a proper studio version of Gimme Shelter...fav stones tune as well.

Yeah, I would be very surprised if Liam actually released his third album this year especially as we're still dealing with Covid. But I just wondered how the recording of it was going that's all as the last I heard it was no where finished.

Yeah I reckon he will finish it this year then release it in the first few months of next year. I just can't see Liam staying idle for too long, as soon as he can get on the road he will smash it.

Oh I agree with you about Liam getting his third album finished this year even if it takes him the rest of the year to do so depending on the Covid situation. But like you say he won't stay idle for long.

On the poster, I had a moment of genius before and thought “I’m gonna check this into the cloak room” and they actually let me! You’re right about the pic - it’s a Beady Eye Liam. But signed, and framed by my bed (Mrs LOVES that! Ha). Gig was properly good if crazily loud. More than I’d enjoyed an ‘Oasis’ gig in years!
