I hope they do something together soon. Richard's next album is an acoustic album of his old songs, so clearly he's out of ideas. I'd be more excited about a collaboration between Liam and the rest of The Verve. Me too. Richard Ashcroft has given me some of the best musical moments of my life, but the last time I was interested was their second reunion in 2008 - I haven't liked any of his solo albums outside The Verve (and I've bought two or three of them out of loyalty). Liam is on the perfect track collaborating with modern songwriters. |

No sorry it's not for me and I don't think Liam really needs him on his album or the other way round. I agree. He's just a washed up, Liam-lite figure who releases nothing but tripe. An utterly inconsequential and pointless collaboration if ever there was one. I liked Ashcroft's first two albums but that's about it. I'm not saying that he's not talented because he is. It's just that I think Liam can do better on his own than do a collaboration with Ashcroft. |

Ashcroft's a fantastic vocalist, I would love to hear him sing on a track with Liam. Just as long as he doesn't write it and it's not a semi-acoustic Urban-Hymns-lite piece of shite. Give me these vibes! Richard's voice is no where near this good anymore and he hasn't retained his high octave range at all. It's gravely and coarse from years of cigarettes and simply not taking proper care of it. If he was to work with Liam, the song would have to be in the low range of notes to better fit his current voice. |

I haven't read anything yet about Liam releasing new music this week but it would be great if he did. As for an online gig that would be great if that's going to happen soon.

It's been awfully quiet on the Liam news front ... maybe that single he mentioned is coming soon? Yeah, it has been a bit quiet. If the new single is out before the end of the year then hopefully it won't be too long before we hear it as we're already into the final two weeks of October now. So there's only a couple of full months left of this year. I'm guessing it has to be sometime in mid to late November at the latest. If it's a single I'm really curious to if it's just going to be a digital release or if there will be any promotion of physical copies. Especially considering that MTV Unplugged was pushed back due to production issues. |

McCartney has an album coming out for the Christmas market, so the least Liam can do is give us a single.
