Opinions on Serge possibly doing a bit of writing with Liam? I know nothing about his songwriting, Kasabian aren’t for me, but I’m not against some fresh input if it’s worthy. Obviously in addition to his existing army. Would there also be a place available for him in Liam’s band? GlastoEls having seen one of your previous posts, the most recently recorded is gonna be your flavour. lg no not yet, sadly. Hopefully soon 😎 Nah I find a lot of recent stuff by Serge really cringey. I guess if joining Liam's band meant he would never sing another song then I guess it would be a good thing for humanity. I never got why Tom didn't sing every Kasabian song. |

Hopefully soon 😎 Jesus Christ no fucking way, unless you want Liam to torpedo his solo career with his piss awful songs. He’d drag Liam back down to Beady Eye levels of popularity. Greg Kurstin, Andrew Wyatt, Simon Aldred et.al. are far far more talented than Serge, whose nothing but a fraud living off a purple patch from the first Kasabian album (that he never wrote entirely anyway). |

I never thought Sergio was so underappreciated.
Anyway, I don't know, I didn't like his solo album but I quite like a few kasabian's songs.
Maybe just for one song, it could be interesting.

Well, I'm really looking forward to Liam's next album as I really love his other two & I listen to them all the time.
But I think he'll be working with the same song writers as I read on his Twitter page that he was working with Andrew Watts (I Think, my memory is awful at times) as someone asked him if he was.
But anyone from Kasabian? No thankyou

Liam's been tweeting recently about different songs from different genres. Some are in Liam's 'wheelhouse' but some are different. Wonder if he's working on music with a more eclectic set of influences. I feel like he's making a point to show he listens to music other than the Beatles because of his reputation.

Yeah, I know Liam has been tweeting about different genres & if he is working with the same song writers it would be nice if they came up with something different. But at the moment it's anyone's guess what the next album will sound like. I mean we can't tell until we've heard a few songs. So we'll just have to wait & see |

Good, I don’t want him to collab with (relatively) big names. In most cases it just attempts to get more publicity and another fanbases attention. Now Liam don’t change your mind and stay away creatively from musicians who can ruin a good streak and we’ll be good.

How much should we buy into that possibility and board the hype train?

But I guess it would depend on whether they'll have any new tracks ready which they're happy with. |

I agree with AKA What A Lad here, ok I like Kasabian's first album & their second one isn't bad but after that they went down hill. And, I certainly wouldn't want Serge working with either of the Gallagher brothers. Not that they need him of course. |

As a person who is a Kasabian fan and who can adequately develop this theme I'd say - this could be a strange choice In my crazy dreams I did imagine Liam working with Serge 'cause I can easily see him singing things like Underdog or Thick As Thieves. But today's Pizzorno can give Liam songs like Doesn't Have To Be That Way in his maximum (btw very later-Kasabian song). Now Kasabian are in the other league - they're more about fun and high energy of Comeback Kid than greatness and emotion of Once. I think... Serge could write song or two for Liam but no more - and this would be Deluxe Edition stuff. Kasabian duo is in their own bubble, it's the other universe of joy. And it's not a Liam level. If you're asking for a live shows... Highly doubt. Firstly 'cause Pizzorno is playin' rhythm on most songs - why Liam should get him if there's Bonehead and other Kasabian guy? He's very average guitar player on their gigs tbh. Secondly, Serge is the leader even more than Tom. Just look at their shows - he shouts 'Jump!' to audience and jumps himself. Would you imagine this on Liam's gigs? he's moving across the stage and I can't imagine this on very calm Liam's band, Liam won't allow this to Serge. He's very energetic person, he won't just stand and play rhythm |
