Personally I don't care so much about the production as I do about the songs.
As You Were was steeped in Liam's vibe precisely because HE wrote so many of the songs. I don't mind the professional songwriters being involved because they provided great singles that Liam couldn't have come up with by himself but they didn't stray from the atmosphere too much.
In my opinion WMWN lacks any kind of discernible soul to me because Liam clearly fell very comfortably into the role of not being a songwriter and as a result the whole album feels rather plastic to me. Things like Alright Now or One Of Us could have been sung by anyone be it Adele or Rick Astley.
As You Were was popular because of the singles but what made me love it was songs like Bold, Greedy Soul, I've All I Need, Universal Gleam, etc.
I really hope Liam writes some tunes of his own for the next one.

I have exactly the same feeling about the first two records.

I can understand the Adele comparison but Rick Astley wrote every song on his sort of comeback album '50' 😂😂

I would enjoy a rawer and more organic album next time around - thinking along the lines of that live Bold performance from Air Studios (I think).
I doubt that will happen however, due to industry practices dictating how an album should sound these days (i.e. with a lot of polish). Unlikely though as any big record company will ensure their albums stick to ongoing trends. Even something slightly rough around the edges seems to be commercial suicide for a lot of stars these days.

I dont mind if he sticks with the same formula with album 3 or goes another route.
But what I do hope is that he releases an Acoustic Sessions II album/ EP. Go for the 8 tracks again. 3 or 4 acoustic versions of LP3 songs. Then 3 (preferably Noel sung) Oasis songs. Im thinking Talk Tonight, Half The World Away, Shout It Out Loud, Magic Pie etc Then either a surprise cover or finally release Eh-La (although I think he should just release that youtube video performance on spotify etc)
I also think he should release the NHS concert as an album + dvd with all proceeds going to the NHS.

I can’t see a 3rd album being released anytime soon with all that’s going on in the world. 18-24 months from now at the earliest but I hope I’m wrong

What a brilliant thing for Liam to come out with. Surely even Noel would find that amusing 😂😂

Fun fact: Noel’s albums sound like oasis more than Liam's albums

Fun fact: Noel’s albums sound like oasis more than Liam's albums In terms of steak, yes. In terms of sizzle, no.

Do we have any info regarding who Liam’s working with this time around? Pretty sure it'll be the same people as the first two albums which I'm very happy with tbh.

I don’t understand the negativity about Wyatt et al get on here. Both records are really well produced. I listen back to Beady Eye’s 1st Album now and cringe and the “we’re still in the 60’s” vibe Liam’s clearly comfortable and happy working with them. As great as it’d be if Liam wrote the full Album on his own it’s been clear from Day One that’ll never happen. He’s got Producers that help develop his own ideas as well as supplying him with their Tracks written for him

I'd love something less produced like "Lord don't slow me down"

Both Gallaghers in the studio. Exciting times even if we're at least half a year from listening to some music. But I enjoy the first steps of new music cycles: the rumours, bits of information on social media from people working in the album, early interviews with the first song names...

Hype and leak threads are always a lot of fun, and nothing beats the excitement of listening to a record for the first time after having waited for it with so much hope and enthusiasm Anyway, I may be in the minority, but I'm hoping for something unplugged style I found myself listening to both AYW and WMWN very few times, probably because it's not exactly the kind of music I've been into lately, but I believe the semi acoustic stuff now gets the best out of Liam's voice

But I enjoy the first steps of new music cycles: the rumours, bits of information on social media from people working in the album, early interviews with the first song names... In the past, I have personally enjoyed reading reviews from "insiders" that contained completely made-up information, including names of song titles and their descriptions. (The old timers here may remember such legendary posts by tennis legends, such as Federer or Nadal, and wrestlers, such as John Cena.) Indeed, it has been during these parts of the studio-to-album cycles in which some members felt compelled to showcase their creativity, which always gave me a good chuckle but also left me wondering whether or not there was validity to the reviews. Sadly, I do not recall reading a good one in quite some time, but I can always hope! Cheers.
