I took that to mean reproduction for financial gain, i.e. creating and selling bootlegs out of the material. We've never run into problems before doing this kind of stuff. This is how we got the Noel 1989 demos back in the day. So would i, but Kyle (the seller) says it cant be shared? I have no idea tbh Even if people on here did club together, presumably the owner would need to be named as an individual. That person would then be the one at risk from a legal perspective if it was recorded and shared on a wider basis. That would be my understanding. |

It stated on there: “This item is sold as an artefact only, without copyright. Any reproduction is strictly prohibited.” The seller is just covering themselves with that warning. Once somebody has bought the tape they can do what they want with it as long as they're also not breaking copyright rules. Given that this soundcheck has never been commercially released, then as long as it's not being copied and shared for profit then I don't think there would be a copyright issue. |

Excellent. I think joakim has a proven track record of crowdfunding this kinda thing and delivering the goods. I think it was him who delivered 'Coming On Strong' and 'Lock All the Doors'. I too would be happy to chip in. Yeah. Let’s crowdfund it and joakim can keep the tape as an appreciation For everything he’s done for the community. |

Sure they are super polished in 2022 but so much of what I’m hearing is stuff I had to some degree or another years ago. Not saying it’s a bad thing because the clarity is much much better. I guess that reviewer never ran across the bootlegs me and my father had over the years. |

If you genuinely want to arrange a crowdfunder and gain the money required you need people to take charge and who have the means to transfer the music.
You need a pinned thread adverting this and to go to the “big” twitter and Instagram Oasis/Liam/Noel fan sites to attract attention and the funds.
There is no point in saying in a forum I’ll throw £10 in here and there, you won’t make the funds doing it that way. Previous fundraising was achieved by more than one forum contributing and using social media.
As it is in an auction whatever funds are raised may not be enough. An option is to contact the seller (Kyle) directly and see if he has a price in mind which would possibly benefit him as there are no auction house fees to be paid etc.
If you all want this, people need to work together like the old days which got the fans the following:
Noel Demo Tape
Unreleased Noel Soundchecks
Coming On Strong / Lock All The Doors Tape
Gem Demos / Some Might Say / Listen Up Session

I'm in.
But I got the feeling there are greedy collectors out there willing to spend a fortune to be the only owner of those songs. So I don't know if we have a chance, but it's worth a try.
As for the copyright thing, I'm sure it's about not getting profit out of it, selling bootlegs and stuff. But even if a bootleg was eventualy made and sold (something unavoidable once the ripped tape is uploaded) it's impossible to trace it back to the tape owner because there has been previous owners. Do you think this tape hasn't been ripped before selling?

Personally I'd like to have it, but it's a 3 hour tape (or something like that), most of it is just roadies etc pissing about.
I wouldn't pay a shit load of money to hear Full On and a couple of other instrumentals tbh, even if one of them is an unreleased song.

Okay so “unheard song” = Noel just playing chords over drums, or an actual song with lyrics, a melody, etc.
Two very different things IMO.
