Touché! Forget everything you know about Liam, Oasis and Beady Eye - open your mind, get to a gig. Tickets are too expensive for that now, I’d rather go see someone else than just half arsed Oasis tunes. Hear me out it’s good that some have the opportunity to see him sings those songs. I’ve seen him do them countless times, there is no point for me until he plays more obscure stuff. Their sound is just too thin for Oasis songs in my opinion, Beady Eye had the same problem, Morning Glory without the "Wells"?? What the fook were they thinking? Oasis songs need wall of sound and Noels backing vocals, anything else sounds like a high school cover band in my opinion. It would be the equivalent of Noel playing a full band Supersonic.

Forgive my lack of Oasis knowledge, I was far too young, but from how I understand it Oasis had hundreds of crew and unlimited funds for equipment. Liam has just expanded to double figures crew and still has a long way to go with equipment. Would this have something to do with it? Genuine question 😊

ITS A SHAME YOU THOUGHT YOU’D CHANGED BUT YOU WERE ALWAYS ONE OF US 28.08.2019. 10am BST The teaser gif is uploaded on his youtube account. It's going to be like the Mighty I video innit? Parka dude strolling mindfully round town, walks into warehouse, band plays, credits, the end... Can someone get me a latté? 😅 Edit: I just noticed the release date of the video and the date on the door 😲 They're marketing this song to be about Noel? Bloody hell... 😱

What is there to suggest that this was the case at the time? Hindsight is a wonderful thing and you make liberal use of it. Its quite obvious you haven't been to his own gigs, I was personally taken aback by the reaction to his solo songs, maybe you don't rate them but clearly quite a few do. Your MO is basically to give no credit to Liam for the solo work or live performance, thats the crucial thing, because it plays to your own bias and allows you to consistantly come in here to wind people up. What ? I give plenty of credit to Liam’s solo work. On the songs he did write. Dig my review of AYW from 2017 it’s somewhere on this forum. Look at my view on Beady Eye. Did I say it was bad for younger people to have the opportunity to see Oasis tunes sung live by the monkey man ? I did not. I just said i’m not interested and that I wish he tried something else. Pretty different. Until then... once again, learn how to read replies properly. Like normal people do. I'm commenting on the points you made, aint nobody digging up your posts from 2017 to answer something you posted this week. Maybe include that in your post for the sake of balance if you know what that even means. Looking forward to you pressing your agenda on The Soapbox, its going to be an unmoderated joy

"The Ballad of the Blue Eyed Boy" makes me think this video will be about Liam's journey, but we'll see tomorrow.

Ehm I find it creepy. Like its nostalgia just for nostalgia sake. No one has died.

The Live By the Sea is the muddiest Oasis ever was, sound very round, thick. It's just how they play the songs, it's got nothing to do with crew. they're just too light and nice. their playing style dont suit the Oasis sound.

THe 16 years ago today line I’m guessing is 2002/1 (depending on when these lyrics were written) That’s got to be about when Noel started to change...probably because of you know who

I was expecting to hate it but it's actually really good. That kid is a dead ringer for Noel.
Of course it would be better if the real Noel came in at the end and they shook hands.

I know that they’re kinda encouraged to be wallpaper rather than express themselves. When Wyatt performed at Glasto he showed his personality through his playing, I don’t think the band have a pass to do this. There’s more to at least some of them than we get to see.
