Thats assuming theres any kind of artistic integrity from the directors ot course. This is long gone regarding Liam’s solo career, obviously. The video delay/fuck up/ whatever is another proof of what some of us are trying to say. Liam does not decide anything. Or doesn’t care. Or both. Still looking forward to it though, the preview looks interesting. But I bet there will be no pics of the Gallagher family in it. I’m never gonna agree with you regarding Liam but you’re a lil bit right about Warner being disappointing at best. Little things like the insta temporarily following a rabbit appreciation account cos they forgot to switch logins and his YouTube channel subscribing to a random dude called Kenneth 😂 Makes me smile tho, it’s no big deal but c’mon....

Looks like Noel isn't the only one experiencing a backlash 😂😂
Seriously though, is it even worth spending a fortune promoting a song to get maybe a top 30 or at best a top 20 chart entry compared to #56?

We can’t agree on everything can we ? 😜 still hoping for a 100% written Liam record. Maybe the next one ? I wouldn’t even mind being produced by anddddrew. Oh by the way I disagree about the website. Or I understand the lack of interest from Warner. Promo is done mainly via social media, and aggregators for tour tickets and album streams or link to buy it. It’s not that it’s not important but an artist website in 2019 is bottom priority for record labels. People come from youtube and other platforms. Even google has ranked artists websites lower now. They used to be first on their search.

Maybe they’re not?
shouldn't think they care much tbh. As long as album sells well, it'll be gigs were they make their money. 💰💰
[/div]
I would assume LG has a 360 deal with Warner where they get a cut of gigs and merch.
If the album and tour do as well as the previous cycle, I'm sure everyone will be happy

bad day for Andrew Wyatt, Liam AND Miley fail to break top 40 😈 Liam is number one on Official Vinyl Singles Chart Top 40 Once with vinyl sales could easily be a top 30 hit Anyway... It's good to see another LG tune (one of us) to hit the charts. Video delay has to do more with keeping alive the hype for the fans and also as another opportunity for extra promotion to the others.

Its more about the promotion of Liam Gallagher and his new album than the chart position of the song itself. When this video goes up, it'll hit social media, and all the usual social media pages like Radio X and NME. Plenty of exposure and reminders that his album is a month away.

I think you are OTT about Liam at the best of times but theres definetely truth in that. Its just become really apparent how down the pecking order Liam is with Warner. All of it was masked very well by the tidal wave of good luck around the AYW cycle. In reality, things fell into place very well and i still maintain its Liam Gallagher that sold that many albums and gig tickets. Warner and especially debbie got way too much praise on here.

If anyone is still under the impression that the single charts even remotely matter to Liam (or Noel for that matter) then they must be crazy.
Both of them will still care about the album charts, obviously.

Charts don’t matter. Shockwave was much higher and that’s a dirge compared to the quality tune.
More important to pop stars these days is ticket sales and there’s no worry with that for Liam.

Well, what they did was the obvious : establish the Liam Gallagher brand. That's what the people wanted, the younger generation especially. Then Liam made the thing explode by over using, in a very smart and provocative way, Twitter. So i'd say it's 50/50. I did not go to any of his solo gigs, but looks like from all the videos that people are mostly in for Oasis tunes. New material doesn't matter much bar one or two tunes. I still believe using Beady Eye material or only Liam songs would not have changed a thing. It was a moment. Looks like the new songs are not working as well as expected, or at least, that's my impression of it. It's back to the fanbase only. So it's not the quality of the material, but the marketing side of the brand that will once again sell all this. That and Noel's tunes. At this stage of his career, it's pretty standard to attract people with the hits though, but usually, they are your tunes... like Macca and his never ending best of world tour. All this will always feel a bit odd to me.

Its quite obvious you haven't been to his own gigs, I was personally taken aback by the reaction to his solo songs, maybe you don't rate them but clearly quite a few do. Your MO is basically to give no credit to Liam for the solo work or live performance, thats the crucial thing, because it plays to your own bias and allows you to consistantly come in here to wind people up.

You’re scared you’re gonna enjoy yourself aren’t ya 😊 I’ve seen Beady Eye that counts as solo and they were a much better live band 🤪 plus no Oasis material, no nostalgia no nothing, just balls on the table, risks and all. Sadly Liam 2017 rethink only did a festival where i am and the day he did a smaller venue I had another gig so I had to choose 😜 but I really wanted to go. Tbh even the last Noel gig in those larger venues bored me (CY tour). Shit sound and all. I mostly go to gigs that have smaller capacity now. Noel’s comeback gigs in 2011 were fantastic at the Apollo (ok larger venue but GREAT sound) and the WBTM tour as well. Maybe this time ? If the band gets better, which I doubt.

What ? I give plenty of credit to Liam’s solo work. On the songs he did write. Dig my review of AYW from 2017 it’s somewhere on this forum. Look at my view on Beady Eye. Did I say it was bad for younger people to have the opportunity to see Oasis tunes sung live by the monkey man ? I did not. I just said i’m not interested and that I wish he tried something else. Pretty different. Until then... once again, learn how to read replies properly. Like normal people do.

Tickets are too expensive for that now, I’d rather go see someone else than just half arsed Oasis tunes. Hear me out it’s good that some have the opportunity to see him sings those songs. I’ve seen him do them countless times, there is no point for me until he plays more obscure stuff.
