Liam tweeted that they filmed the video for One Of Us, not Once. And the director also directs Peaky Blinders, I'm sure he has artistic integrity. This guy with our Liam?! It's gonna be an orgy of slow-motion walking!

A lot of work goes in before filming, especially at this level. I still believe this work was originally for Once.

We know One of Us was always slated as the second proper single as Liam said so in interview with Chris Evans(?) when promoting Shockwave. So it makes perfect sense that the big budget video was planned for that song. Also if Once was planned as proper single then why release One of Us so soon afterwards? Unless we are to assume that Warner and Urok have made such a massive cluster fuck of this promotion campaign that they can't organise releasing a single on time then I still think this is more or less what they intended. My own take on this would be that One of Us was planned as the big single but they feared that the unexpected buzz online about the Once clips and clamour for its release would overshadow the One of Us release, so they just released Once with a lyric video to kill the hype then gave it a couple of weeks for the buzz to die down.

You make a lot of good points. Obviously I can’t expand on my points. But I can ask - why is this video still not out? Have you seen Liam’s website? Run by Warner. It’s shite. Does it even mention a new single on the front page? How great have they been at sending promised immediate music links to those that have pre-ordered? Click the videos link, it’s only showing Wall of Glass. The tour status isn’t up to date. It’s shite. I think Warner are doing a great job in some respects but definitely not all. Anyway, whatever the plan, we’re finally getting the video which I’m sure will be brilliant.

The only thing I see on it is links to the online store. But that seems like a minor issue tbh whereas actually organising the release schedule for the music is pretty much their entire reason for existing. If they are making such a bad job of that then it's amazing they are still in business.

I don’t think that at all, I just think the video took a lot longer than anticipated to start filming and to fit it into the pre-existing release plans (which I agree must be very finite) they or someone has shifted it. As someone said, it fits both, so it’s no big deal. Looking forward to it.

With this video and the show returning on Sunday I wonder if there is a tie in with the TV show and the delay is because they are waiting for the show to air. Would be awesome promotion if the song is featuring on it.

This is still not out, amusing. I know that stuff like this take a while to get totally done, but if you want a video to have any effect on views (even if, personally, they don't have much of an effect), it really should come out, on the day the song is released. At this point, more than a week after the tune got released, it will have no effect whatsoever. This should have been better planned. They should have shot the video more ahead of time, in order for it to come out with the actual song. Only positive from this is the fact that the guy behind it is the same one from Peaky Blinders, which is a tremendous TV series that i have had the opportunity to review on more than one occasion. What's more important is that, at the end of the day, we are one month away from having the record available to listen.

Any chance that the lines "Today 16 years ago / It was you and I for the last time" refer to what I think was their last joint interview: If he wrote it last year it was 16 years from 2002. They had a joint interview in 2006 for Stop The Clocks. That 2nd interview makes me sad, especially when they're talking about what if Noel hadn't come back when he pissed off for that week, on the American tour, and Liam says 'who cares, cause he's back' the way he says it is the most genuine thing... The way they are with each other here, how can anyone see that and not wish none of the kick off had ever happened? They DO need each other, I firmly believe that!

That page with the links to his store is just the very first "entry page", scroll down to the bottom and click the "Enter Website" and you'll enter the proper website that has a lot more content and a pretty cool polaroid design I think lots of musicians' homepages handle it like this when they're about to release a new record

Does LG get any radio play? Or is it all streams and vinyl single sales?
Warner keeps fucking up, if they'd add something resembling a b-side and maybe a download card to the singles, I'd be buying them and I'm sure others like me.
I buy physical media like bluray audio and CD's but have no use for vinyl. If he added exclusive content, I'd bite.

Chinatown ésque 😐 Someone needs to start thinking outside the box and break the internet if chart positions are important to them. Maybe they’re not?

Thats assuming theres any kind of artistic integrity from the directors ot course. This is long gone regarding Liam’s solo career, obviously. The video delay/fuck up/ whatever is another proof of what some of us are trying to say. Liam does not decide anything. Or doesn’t care. Or both. Still looking forward to it though, the preview looks interesting. But I bet there will be no pics of the Gallagher family in it.
