Now that I've finally heard it with earphones, I enjoy it more..my only gripe is that it's not long enough.
Definitely my favourite so far though

My only gripe with both this one and once is that they both sound like radio edits. Hoping for some 4-5 minute songs on the album. thats true! People were complaining during Beady Eye that some songs were going on too long. Now he has tunes, that would maybe deserve one extra minute^^

The tune in itself is good, but the lyrics feel very awkward. Whoever said Liam reads lyrics is right. Does not feel natural. the words and the melody dont belong together, especially the verses. Did he write those ?
As all the other tunes so far, it sounds a bit produced in a rush. Did they record this album on Garage band ?
The strings and back vox are genius though. but again, what an awful mix. It's a mash potatoe of a mix. my ears are bleeding again.
Good pop song overall, like Robbie Williams I've Been Expecting You era, which was a good album. Good stuff Robbie Gallagher !

This somehow reminds me of the first time I heard Scorpio Rising. Maybe it’s because both are something I wasn't expecting, but sound so modern and refreshing. Liam's vocals work really great as well. Whoa whoa whoa. Hold your horses. That avatar is top 5 on the site. Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to put One of Us on the same level as Scorpio Rising. Way too different to compare, I think. But I just wanna talk about how refreshing they are! Both are something NEW outside of Liam's comfort zone- definitely not Oasis-y or his all time favorite Lennony vibe music. I love his musical tastes but I'm also happy to see how his voice works with these fresh and new directions. He's got THAT voice, so give me some more! Anyway, I was so glad that somebody finally reminded him of the existence of Scorpio Rising from his back catalogue. Many thanks to DJ from Beat 1 radio

2mins 10 through to the end is one of my favourite Liam solo ends to a song. Got lots of sounds and layers

Happy to share the quality file now it’s released, anyone not streaming, or wants it anyway, shoot. (Won’t break tos mods)
Nice touch to see Chris Elliott credited as a performer along with Liam because the instrumental with the layers of aaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy aaaaaaaaayyaaaay over it make this song for me.
And most importantly, where’s the video you little shithead.

This is exactly what we deserve from Liam at this point in time. Something slick, epic, different, and catchy at the same time. It doesn't cull from the same dry wells of 60s/Lennon influences that we're so used to hearing from Liam. And, above all, it's got true spontaneity that Once, The River, and Shockwave all sorely lack.
Someone mentioned that they didn't like how it seemed to lack obvious structure, like verse, chorus, middle eight, etc. Funny thing, that's actually one of my favorite things about One of Us. I like being lost in a song, I don't want a song to so obviously tell me "this is a verse" or "this is a chorus". I don't want to be able to predict exactly where a song will go from just hearing the first few seconds. Having an unconventional song structure keeps you on your feet. It allows for more surprises, it keeps you guessing about what's gonna come next. It takes a lot of skill to pull off the traditional verse-chorus-verse structure well. Wall of Glass, and many other Liam songs do the traditional structure fantastically, but when it's not done correctly it makes the song sound rigidly locked in (see: Shockwave). But One of Us rises above all that, and instantly becomes one of Liam's best solo songs.

The ending is genius, no doubt about that. Just for that, the song is worthy even though it has it flaws.

Just nice little tune. It's like She's Electric on WTSMG - it's okay but nothing more. Just a little better than a filler. Can't hear smth 'epic'. Chorus is catchy, Noel's references are okay but...
Also the second song with strange echo - didn't like 'Once'-echo in Once and don't like this 'eeehhh' here
After 5 or 6 listens it's on The River highs but far from Shockwave and Once levels. Very far. Definitely 1st time when Noel's latest song is better than Liam's one

The best of the bunch we've heard so far. But like with Once it does sound a bit like a radio edit as someone said, going from the second chorus almost immediately into the third feels a bit off, I wouldn't have minded a first rate guitar solo inbetween them. And the song could honestly have benefited from being a minute longer.

I'm the person who don't like nananas and eeehhh things in songs, the only one I like is All Around The World. And we can suppose it possibly would be during whole WM?WN. Well, if it is, it won't ruin songs at all but will sound weird for me

Great fresh sound again and nice flow , there’s nothing wrong with the lyrics and you can clearly tell Liam’s wrote the majority of these tracks , the Endings brilliant and I think this album will flow a lot better than as you were

If I want to listent to an Oasis song, I'll listen to them. There's enough of them. I'd rather something like this than a wannabe anthem.

I like the song but it's just okay. The words don't fit the melody and there's way too much autotune. It's clear his voice is in worse condition compared to As You Were and the supposedly slick production only highlights this.

The vocals on this album are going to be 1000 times better btw to much autotune? I don't hear it

Don't know how you can say his voice is in worse condition than As You Were after hearing the piano sessions and the two tracks from the Hull gig.
He's sounding better than As You Were if anything.

Very nice summer tune, LOVE the ending. And btw about Gertie reference... Maybe somebody have already mentioned it, I read it somewhere on twitter. Noel and Gertie is a musical. So it's just a nice little joke I guess
