This somehow reminds me of the first time I heard Scorpio Rising. Maybe it’s because both are something I wasn't expecting, but sound so modern and refreshing. Liam's vocals work really great as well. Whoa whoa whoa. Hold your horses. That avatar is top 5 on the site.

Very good. I would much prefer an album of more mature sounding songs like this, instead of 'Rivers' and 'Shockwaves'. Got to say I don't mind The River. It's grown on me. Shockwave is what it is. I just think it feels a bit like 'angry man is angry' even though Liam isn't angry, if you get me. But it's got some good moments. This builds and builds though. Really dig it. Yeah I agree, but I hope we get more mellow and chilled vibes from the rest of the album like 'One Of Us'. Personally, that's what I think Liam is best at since Oasis split. Been listening to some Beady Eye recently, and all the chilled songs are the best IMO. Soon Come Tomorrow, OATNE, Morning Son etc...he has such a soothing voice when he's not in full on rock'n'roll mode.

I just like to hear Liam's voice over something different and for me this is just that.
It's not out there or anything. But in the same way that It Doesn't Have To Be That Way is, it's a nice little change.
Really like it and hope there's more songs like this on the album.

His best single so far from this album, by some distance. I’m not going to beat about the bush, I think all the other songs are mediocre but this one hits the spot. Getting Ian Brown solo vibes from this which is a great thing. Couldn't agree more mate. Find it interesting that a lot of people who don't seem to rate it are the ones who can't abide Noel's new stuff too (not all though, I'm not meaning to generalise, I just find it interesting). Guess it's just a matter of taste and that's fine as people like what they like and end of the day it's all opinion. I would much rather hear Liam's voice to something like this, with a real groove and good lyrics, than something like Once which for me is somebody trying to follow a 'guideline to an Oasis anthem' and getting it all wrong. That's not to say I think Once is awful, it just didn't stick with me after initially I really liked it. Shockwave is okay and The River has grown on me, but this has just hit the spot. Really like it and in all honesty has got me a lot more geared up for the album. Also Oa great cover as always, and thanks for the chords! Shockwave is such a tuneless dirge. There’s nothing to it at all, but this on the other hand feels effortless and breezy. Not stilted and lumpen like the lead single - it sounds like the first single off this album that isn’t trying to aim for something to replicate and feels all the more natural for it. After a few listens, it’s an excellent tune, looking very promising to be in my top five Liam tracks and one of his best post-Oasis tunes yet. In fact, I’ll put my neck out and say that over time, this one will endure amongst the fan base.

It’s my third favourite behind Once then Shockwave and I adore One of Us so that tells you how much I love the other two. It’s extremely catchy and Liam’s sounding incredible. My only criticism of it is the outro while not bad it’s 30 seconds too long, they should have had another verse to end the song and make it around the 4:00m mark
This last month is going to feel like an eternity

Really liked Shockwave although I did get bored of it a little, Enjoyed The River when a lot of people didn’t like it, Once I absolutely loved and still think is up there with anything post oasis but this!! Really really poor. Awful in fact. Hate the drums, the lyrics ( you said we’d live forever), the chorus is annoying and outro far too long. I come on this website regularly but never post but felt I had to. Played the song to my friend who is also a big fan and he just text back saying ‘’ absolutely shit’’ Listened to the first Beady Eye album tonight for the first time in years and I honestly think I prefer most track on there. Real shame although i’m looking forward to hearing the rest of the album. 4/10 max

Going back and forth between the Liam clyp (Oh, and thanks Clyp dude,) You rule - 70's Philly/Elton sound, and this Rolo stripped back slice of amazing. Well done all around 1. Once 2. The River/One of us (fighting for #2) 4. Shockwave

Argh. That's bad. Worst second album tune so far. F***ing radio-friendly production. Is Liam now into pop? If modern pop music sounded like that I don't think I would be spending my time talking on the internet about a 90's rockstar double my age.

I read some early fan reaction and was expecting some terrible song based on what people were saying. I listened to it and it exceeded my expectations. Liam's voice and music are great. It was a bit on the short side though, could have used another minute or two. Only problem I have with this song and the River are that they feel like they have no structure i.e. proper bridge, chorus etc.

All these songs so far have great melodies but feel unfinished, for some reason.

Def my favourite out of the singles so far. Love hearing Liam try new sounds. Really wish it was a bit longer, or had an extended album version though. I think this song would have been perfect for Ashcroft to guest appear on.

It sounds like Ian Brown jamming with post-2000 Ace of Base. And I fucking love it. Nothing I would have expected from Liam, but I'm not complaining!

Liking it more now it's on Spotify and I'm listening through headphones. The outro, which I wasn't that keen on before, is great when you can hear everything.

I like it, but it did not get me that much like "once" or "the river" did. I get the appeal behind the song and I do enjoy it. I like the outro and the song does some things I did not expect. Maybe it will grow on me like "Shockwave" did but I think "Once" is superior. With the songs I heard so far this would be my ranking:
1) The River 2) Once 3) One of us 4) Shockwave

My only gripe with both this one and once is that they both sound like radio edits. Hoping for some 4-5 minute songs on the album.
