www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00068s0Next Sunday 23rd, 22:30 Looking back with a mixture of pride, curiosity and occasional bewilderment, Noel Gallagher relives moments of his life on TV - handpicked by Dermot O’Leary. From Maine Road to Downing Street, The Word to Newsnight – Noel has been ever present on our screens for the past 25 years. Now is his chance to watch it back. In characteristically revealing form, Noel talks about the early days of Oasis, their first TV appearances, his love of Top of the Pops, his role in Cool Britannia, the breakup of one of the world’s most successful rock groups, his own solo career – and how Don’t Look Back In Anger came to define his home town’s response to the Manchester Arena bombing.

I doubt they'll mention what Noel owes to the Reel People for plagiarizing "Feel the pain" though.

It was fun to see Noel laughing at the old Oasis interviews. Was nice to see that veil come down and see the old Noel for a bit. Was nice to actually see him look proud of what they did rather than talk about it all like we're all idiots for liking it.

Hadn’t seen that Maine Road stuff before! Or that local news stuff. Still find it fascinating that Peggy lives in that old house. Surely she has security? In this day and age I'd feel really worried about her living there.

No one would want that in the kitchen when you're eating your cornflakes.

Suppose they'd covered the rise, though. The thing with Oasis is they never really fell. They just ended. Would have been nice to see some Wembley 2000 footage maybe, and perhaps the Etihad gigs. They only had half hour though.

Sort of the same thing with the Stones only they have had 40 years of post-peak music to ignore.

Tbf they had 28 minutes though. And it was a show about Noel, not just Oasis. Oasis at this point is obviously a huge part of Noel's story, but not all of it. It's hard to think that Noel has been solo for almost as long as Oasis were releasing records for, now. I don't think there's too much of a risk of that with the hardcore fans. We'll never forget. But to a wider audience - a lot of them last night will have been casual Sunday night viewers - you have to focus on the really interesting bits tbh.

Yeah pretty much. Some Girls in 1978 being the last 'classic' album. And Start Me Up being the last HIT song in 1981!
