Music is subjective. That's why it's ridiculous to argue whether a song is a "classic" or not. Who makes that decision? And who the fuck even cares? Exactly. DLBIA and Wonderwall are 'classics', but I don't care for them at all.

Well, something becomes classic if it withstands the test of time. AYW has been out for just over a year, so not really enough time to say its not a classic.

I bet it could be somewhat like this. 1. Another Glass 2. (It's) Bold (To Refuse A Drink) 3. Sober Soul 4. Paper Crown (A Metaphor For My Sobriety) 5. For What It's Worth (Sorry For All The Hurt) 6. When I'm In Need (Of A Drink) 7. You Better Run (Once I've Had A Few) 8. I Get By (Without Alcohol) 9. (They Said They Found Me Somewhere In) Chinatown 10. Come Back To Me (Sweet Alcohol) 11. Universal Sobriety 12. I've All I Need (Now That I'm Sober)

fuck me, that cowboy dude really is losing his mind. go rest a bit, SONNY completely calm, as always. just being realistic. Yeah I get your point with the word ‘classic’ being thrown around with songs that are barely a year old BUT for me those two songs discussed previously are for the lack of a better word ‘amazing’ songs. Fair enough they aren’t classics because they are brand new but to me they are as good as anything else oasis are known for. In other news I think the second album would be in post-production now or at the very least almost complete. Getting super excited about this but it’s a different kind of excitement because this won’t be a make or break album, it’s more of a let’s establish myself as a solo artist now which will incorporate a different sound (maybe?) My only concern is that Liam has barely had any time to write. I fear 80% of the album will be written by others which is not necessarily a good thing since the best songs on AYW were written by Liam

He will be fine. We will Be fine.

Yes I believe Dan the drummer helped a lot in developing the songs Liam had written before they sent him over to Kurstin a bit later on. Nothing stopping him from doing it again this time if Liam had been doing bits of writing in his downtime on tour. I think Liam's weakness is writing rockers as I don't think his guitar playing goes beyond strumming chords on an acoustic.

Yeah very true to all. Regardless it will be quality because Warner Brothers won’t let them release an album that’s not good there’s too much money at stake they will want another huge hit and big tour.
It’s so crazy to think in 2015-2016 he was so done now he’s one of the biggest names in music again. Seriously though when the hell are we going to get some news on AS IT WAS I’m almost keener for this documentary more than the second album LOL

Still assume June 2019 album release. Apart from the chapel gig in a few weeks he’s on a break until Spring. That’s when the promo/rehearsals will maybe start. Followed by ~18 months graft and then the very long break he’s referring to in the quote linked above by mossy
