This guy was killing it and singing really good for the past few years. Last year especially was amazing vocally. Now he's shit again overnight. Wtf happened? He's putting the least amount of effort that I've seen from him, he's literally just rushing through the songs as quick as possible and not even trying to sing properly.

He was singing really good for the past few years (before the comeback, in the shower or what?), and now it's shit again?
Alright then.

whilst theres a sense of "oh here we go" about having to talk about this again -
I agree in terms of the trying.
He isnt even attempting to sing softer songs properly. when you hear him back on clips with just his acoustic he sounds fucking brilliant. like to the point you say wow you have a fucking great, unique voice.
At gigs when it isnt the Oasis songs (which he nails because he's used to and feels comfortable with) he is just kind of rushing and shouting his way through.
I still cannot defend the autocue either. If you're going to have one, then use it every now and again for a new or untested song. Shouldn't be a case of hardly learning anything and then relying on it. Looks shit when he sounds off and his heads down staring at it.

I saw Roger Daltrey on The One Show (I was eating dinner alright?) last night and he was screaming those lines. How has he still got it after all these years? Is he a trained vocalist?

I actually remember him complaining about the smoke machines when I saw them at Beaulieu way back in '06 so it makes sense.

Roger Daltrey did lose his voice for a little while, he went and had surgery to remove polyps or something and it fixed his voice. Same thing happened to Adele as well. they all go to Dr. Steven Zeitel, he also gave Julie Andrews her voice back. The guy is practically a magician. After Liam was sick in Europe he continued singing, and if you're singing while even slightly sick your vocal chords can swell and cause permanent damage or cause polyps to grow, you remove the polyps and your voice is practically as good as new. I think Liam would be too proud however, to have surgery on his vocal chords.

Jesus Christ, he did 100 shows in over a year, of course he's going to sound tired. FFS his voice has not "turn to shit" overnight. A bit hyperbolic, aren't you?

Never did drugs, didn't smoke either, I believe (can recall reading he's allergic to smoke or something?) He's also apparently in insane shape for someone his age. He probably took care of himself. That makes a huge difference. He still obviously can't sing like he used to tho, happens to everyone

So he sounded pretty good on a US tour a month ago, has one slightly bad show whilst jet-lagged and his voice is now 'shit'?
He has a nice break before the next gig when I'm sure he'll sound top.

That's good? Damn, low standards.
I had forgotten how sensitive this board was in my time gone, good grief.

Actually you're the sensitive one, as mancraider said above it was only a month ago that he was singing well in the US. He'll have good days, he'll have worse days and I think most people here accept that and don't start a hysterical thread about it.

how incredibly narrowminded, if you did any research you would see this is just an off day (plus tiredness as he's been doing a LOT of touring).
would love to see how your voice would hold up.
