My friend in Manchester who went to see the film in a cinema last night just emailed me this:
"You're going to love the documentary. I won't spoil it, but it's pretty good. Very similar in style to the Supersonic film. It's brilliant".
Can't wait the DVD to arrive at my door next week.

Really enjoyed it but the comeback story is well troddened for hardcore Oasis fans, so no real new insight. Also its still very recent.
Some really funny bits, particularly with Peggy and the kids. It misses the excellent presentation of Supersonic which used animations to tell parts of the story.
Not sure why there wasn't greater focus on Finsbury or LCCC ?
Seeing LG demo the songs was fantastic and the whole process of constructing the songs was really interesting, having listened to Dans interview on the Oasis podcast I had an idea but it was great to see.
I think it would have been better with Oasis songs included. Shame on you Noel.
Overall I'm glad we've got it, it's slick, funny and touching at times, but it's not to the same level as Supersonic. To be fair what music documentary is?

Just watched it. Loved it. Without spoiling anything too much it has some great behind the scenes footage and its good to hear from Peggy, Paul, Debbie and Bonehead. Really good seeing him in the studio making AYW too. They handled the One Love concert part well I think considering they weren’t allowed to use RNRS and LF. Good doc.

Not really, he skirted around blaming Andy Bell for the split. think I remember him saying about that in some interview, that andy wanted to go back to ride with beady eye on the side and Liam didnt like the idea of the band being sidelined. would be somewhat interesting to know what the relationship is between Liam, gem and andy these days, they don't seem to bother with each other anymore. I wonder if the issues with nicole etc in 2013 caused some rifts....I mean I believe debbie was managing beady eye at the time.

God damn it. You can’t purchase films on iTunes from other countries. So if you’re in Australia like me you can’t purchase it from the UK store. Any ideas as to how people outside the UK could watch it?

Which format did you purchase (also in U.S.). If you buy a U.K. Blu-ray won’t it be in a non-compatible region? I’ve been trying figure out a way to purchase it on a streaming site, but no luck thus far.

There’s extras on the iTunes version too. If anyone wants to know. What are they? Any full songs? Off the top of my head There’s I Get By at abbey road, two more clips from the studio, deleted scene from mums house, erm...think captain think... bit at the ritz with bonehead in, can’t think of any more. Think there was 7 extra scenes in total. I did think yeah they didn’t need to be in the film. Good to have though!
